Bravo is a handsome boy who was found wandering in Stockton. So far, no one has come forward to claim him, so we need to find him a place to call home. We are not certain of his breed combo, but we are guessing by his looks that he may be a Miniature Pincher and Doxie (he has a long body). Bravo weighs 18 pounds so he will be nice and portable. We have cleaned him up, given him vaccinations and he will be microchipped and neutered on 7/23rd and can leave the following day. He seems to be a really nice boy who has a low maintenance coat. $300.00 will help us with the cost of all his care. Meet Chiquita! She is a darling 1 year old, 14 pound, black and tan, Miniature Pinscher/Terrier mix with warm brown eyes. This pretty girl was left at a laundromat by her homeless owner AFTER he sold her puppies! No more abuse for this poor girl! She’s an AFC dog now and will spend the rest of her life loved! She is shy and needs an experienced adopter. She gets along fine with other dogs but would also be fine as an only dog. NO cats! She will chase them. She has gotten very attached to her foster mom in a short period of time and has been sleeping in her bed. She is very loyal to whoever she connects with and must have someone who is active retired or works from home. Chiquita really wants to connect with you. She loves to go for walks and car rides. He loves to curl up right on top of you or beside you and just enjoy his time with you. He has been great with dogs that are similar to his size and adapts quickly. He's also got the basics down (kennel trained, potty trained, gets along with other animals) and is ready to find the perfect home. He's pretty vocal when it comes to telling you what he wants. For example, he will bark or whine near the water dish, door (for potty), or food when he wants it. He's so smart and picks up on things pretty quickly.Tag needs time to adjust and decompress in new situations. He is quite skittish and weary of new people. Because he is skittish, he would do best in an all adult home or a home with older, patient children.       Meet the Gorgeous Tula (Makeup!   She is a 3 year old lb Min Pin who came to us from another Rescue.   Don’t let Tula’s blindness distract you from giving her a chance to impress you. If you’re familiar with the breed, they are very smart and loyal. Tula is definitely smart and loyal. She’s friendly to everyone she meets. She is still a bit skittish but she’s been learning her way around her foster home with guidance. She will have surgery next week to remove both of her eyes due to glaucoma. Since her eyes are already impaired we expect her to heal without any issues and she can be pain free.       She is potty trained if you take her out to do her business. If you are a slacker and don’t take her after meals (or when she wakes up) you will find a mess to clean up. Tula also sleeps through the night without a peep. She loves good night kisses, too. In the morning you can find her patiently waiting for you at the front of her kennel with a wagging tail. She is so excited to see her person any time of the day but mostly in the morning. She is actually starting to play a little bit, too. She’s not a fan of dry food unless you make a little gravy with some wet food and water. We haven’t heard her bark very much and loud noises haven’t bothered her either. She’s quiet in the kennel for car rides and we expect her to be ok for travel.   Tula hasn’t been tested with children but we expect her to do well with older children who will understand her inability to see. Adults with mobility issues would also not be a good fit. She was curious with cats at our vets office but didn’t try to harm them. We can certainly test her again if needed.   Please consider giving Tula a chance at living a wonderful life. She will reward you in return with much love and kisses every day. You can’t ask for much more than that.   She is being fostered in Pittsburg California which is where she will be available to meet potential adopters. This is what her foster mom has to say about her- 'Hi I am Estee Lauder and I am a Min Pin mix. Here is a little bit about my breed. It is important to read this because I have a lot of these traits. The Miniature Pinscher, affectionately known as the Min Pin, is a petite little canine full of vim! If you’re in search of a lapdog, this breed might not be the ideal choice for you. These spirited dogs are bursting with energy and attitude, and they’ll make sure you’re aware of it. Although they’re not the type to lounge about, Min Pins form strong bonds with their families and show affection towards the people they care for. Some may be wary of strangers, while others may gradually warm up to new faces. Despite their petite size, these dogs are determined to be your vigilant watchdog. Courageous and audacious, they’ll promptly notify you of any changes in their surroundings. With a Min Pin, you’ll always be on high alert. My foster mom says I am a lot like this although you can find me next to my mom lounging when I am not playing with toys or looking out the window for movement. I am a devoted little one she says. I am on high guard when someone comes to my home. I bark and act like I am telling you not to move My foster mom says no and squirt me with a water spray bottle and I walked away. You see I will listen to guidance from you. I just need to learn what you expect from me as you are learning my traits. I am loyal and will protect you. I think I am a big girl that can handle anything. I am full of fun and entertainment. I love to have your attention and warm up pretty fast. I am best suited for a active mom and dad that will play fetch and give me walks. I can get along with other dogs but I am the bossy one and need to be guided that it is not acceptable to act that way. I can learn but ultimately I would love someone all to myself. I am best with children that respect my boundaries and give me tender attention. So probably ages 10 and up are best for me. I love to sleep with you. I will cuddle up and be content. I whine a little if you crate me but my foster mom is working on that so I can be more comfortable when I need to be in one of those things called a crate. So this is me.
