Gideon is a 6 year old neutered male who was found as a local stray. Friendly, energetic, and sweet, Gideon is a fun dog who enjoys going on walks and romping around in the yard. He loves a good blanket and sometimes scares the staff by snuggling so deep into a comforter that we don't realize he's there! Gideon has a food allergy and will need to be on a strictly fish-based diet, but he's not picky with his food and has been more than happy with the adjustment. He could live with a dog-savvy cat and is selective about other dogs, so he may do best with a canine companion content to leave him alone. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Bane is a 7-month-old Min Pin mix weighing about 28 pounds, and he’s as sweet as they come! This little guy loves everyone he meets and has the perfect mix of puppy playfulness and gentle affection. trixie is tricky. She is shy to the point of almost being feral and she will not allow much handling if any. if we can crate her and get her to her new home that is the way it will work for her. Otherwise she will stay here for the rest of her days. Other than that she is easy and quiet and quite intelligent.
