If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Pup Cherry (CHE1124ALAFD)Estimated Breed: Miniature Pinscher / Dachshund mix Approximate Age: 4 months Approximate Weight: 13 LBS Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Pup Cherry! This adorable little pup came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. Cherry is now on the hunt for her forever home. Could that be with you? Cherry is your typical sweet and playful puppy. If you are looking for a lapdog, then look no further than Cherry. She loves to be held and cuddled. Cherry also does great with other dogs too. At her young age, Cherry is in her prime for training and socialization. Please remember that young pups require lots of time, love, and patience to become the best doggie citizens they can be. She won't last long, submit an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
