💖 Let us introduce you to 3 year old Bella (Lucy's mother), a medium-sized poodle weighing in at 30lbs, who is on a journey to find a special home filled with patience, calmness, and understanding. Bella's past at a commercial breeding facility (an Amish Puppy Mill) has left her with a timid soul, and emotional scars. She's looking for someone who can help her rebuild her trust in the world.
💕 Bella's Unique Needs: Bella's story is one of resilience, but she needs a gentle touch to help her overcome her fears. She's quite nervous and tends to startle easily, as if she's afraid of her own skin. For this reason, Bella would thrive in a calm and quiet environment, especially if children are present – as long as they can respect her space.
A private residence & fenced yard are REQUIRED. No apartments, condos, or communal living quarters are suitable for her needs.
🚶♀️ A Work in Progress: Bella is making progress on her journey to confidence. She's still working on potty training and may take her time to find the perfect spot. Walking on a leash is a new adventure for her, and she often follows closely behind her trusted human.
🐕 The Sweet Side of Bella: Underneath her shyness, Bella is a sweet and loving companion. She seeks solace in her safe haven – the couches – and finds comfort in the presence of her human. She's started to enjoy cuddles, and her ability to sleep through the night is improving.
🐾 Patience and Love Required: Bella may not be the most outgoing dog, but she has a heart full of potential. She might howl when you leave, but she'll be overjoyed and energetic when you return. She's learning to trust and will need your patience as she continues to come out of her shell.
