Snowbird had a sad beginning—he was surrendered to a shelter wearing a collar that had been left on far too tight. Thankfully, he received the care he needed, his stitches are now out, and we’re confident his beautiful coat will grow back just fine. Despite everything he’s been through, Snowbird hasn’t let his past dim his spirit. He adores attention from volunteers, loves playing with other dogs, and truly enjoys just being a happy pup. He does great in the car and is always ready for his next little adventure. Snowbird isn’t a big fan of being crated, so he’d love a home where he can safely explore, relax, and enjoy life by your side. Hi… I’m Toby, a two-ish year old poodle who’s trying really hard to figure out this whole “new life” thing. My previous owner loved me but couldn’t care for me anymore, so now I’m here, a little confused and a little nervous, trying to understand what comes next.I’ll be honest — I’m a sensitive guy. I warm up slowly, and I definitely feel safer around women. When I’m scared or cornered, I don’t really know what to do except growl or even try to bite. I’m not proud of it… it’s just the only way I know to say “please go slow with me.” Because of this, I really can’t go to a home with kids under 12 — I need an environment where people understand boundaries and won’t rush me.But once I trust you? I soften right up. I want to be someone’s little shadow, someone’s project, someone’s “I knew he’d come around.” I just need a patient person who gets that nervous dogs aren’t bad dogs — we’ve just had lives that taught us to be careful.If you’re gentle, calm, and willing to let me open up at my own pace, I promise I can be a really sweet companion. I’m not perfect… but I’m trying hard, and I hope someone out there can see the good boy I’m working to become.Toby is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $500.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Teddy is the cutest puppy we have ever seen! He's a tiny little chaos bear - full on teething and the typical puppy high energy...he adores wrestling with his foster siblings - his best friend is a 50lb pit bull mix (also up for adoption!). Teddy requires a home with other dogs in it. He is fine with children though no babies as he is so small that rough hands can hurt him easily. He is still working on housetraining so please dont apply if youre not willing to housebreak him. Teddy is fostered in Hoston TX and will not be transported until adopted.
