Youngtu | 7 years old | Poodle Name: Youngtu Age: 7 years Sex: Spayed female Breed: Poodle Coat: Beige Weight: 3.2 kg Height: 30 cm (shoulder height) Rescue Story Youngtu was adopted as a puppy, but due to her adopter’s life circumstances—including the birth of a child and an overseas work assignment—she was unfortunately surrendered and returned to rescue. She has now been living in a foster home for about one month, where she has been adjusting well and enjoying the stability of home life again. ‍ Human Socialization Youngtu is very affectionate and people-oriented. She approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people happily, rubs against them, and enjoys being touched. She tends to seek a lot of human attention and companionship. She has not had direct experience with children under 13. Youngtu is comfortable being picked up with an arm under her belly and will often show her belly even to people she has just met—an indication of her friendly and trusting nature. Dog Socialization Youngtu will approach unfamiliar dogs to greet them but generally does not engage in play. She tends to feel intimidated by dogs larger than herself. If another dog provokes her, she may react defensively, so careful introductions are important, especially with new or unfamiliar dogs. When a new dog enters a space she was already occupying, she may attempt to assert herself by nipping toward the other dog’s rear or rushing toward them in a confrontational way. Proper management and guidance are recommended in multi-dog settings. Cats On walks, Youngtu may look at cats with curiosity, but she follows her handler well and redirects easily when guided. Energy Level Youngtu has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but settles calmly and rests quietly afterward. ‍ Walks Youngtu is generally does not pull. She follows her handler well. When encountering other dogs on walks, she may sometimes pass calmly, but at other times may initiate or respond to tension—especially if the other dog growls. While injuries have not occurred, brief scuffles can happen, so continued leash manners training and attentive handling are recommended. Additional Notes • No food guarding toward people • May growl if another dog approaches while she is eating (separate feeding works well) • Calm and well-mannered in a crate • Currently potty trained for both indoor and outdoor elimination Youngtu is a loving, human-focused companion who would thrive in a home that can provide guidance, structure, and thoughtful dog introductions. Meet Ginu | Apply Here Ginu is a 4-year-old Miniature Poodle weighing 10 lbs, with a soft, curious spirit and a resilient heart. He’s already capturing attention with his good looks and gentle presence as he settles into life in the city. Ginu was rescued from an illegal puppy mill in Gwangwando, South Korea, where he lived among dozens of dogs in heartbreaking conditions — extreme matting, poor sanitation, and in some cases, even metal wire restraints. Since arriving, he’s undergone an incredible transformation, trading his matted coat for fresh curls and walking with confidence on city streets. Despite everything he’s been through, Ginu remains affectionate, people-focused, and eager to explore. He’s still adjusting to loud noises and new environments, but he bounces back quickly and is showing great progress in foster care. Ginu enjoys sniffing around both indoors and outside, and he loves curling up on soft beds or tagging along on your daily routine. Ginu would do best with adopters who can offer him structure, reassurance, and lots of cozy places to rest. Training Program: Ginu is eligible for our Jindo Journey Grant Stipend, which covers 2 professional training sessions to support a smooth transition into his forever home. Meet Raleigh | Apply Here Raleigh is a sweet, lively 6 year old Miniature Poodle who is thriving in foster care. At just 8 pounds, she is small in size but full of personality, with a confident, loving nature that quickly wins over anyone she meets. Raleigh is affectionate and eager to connect with her people. She enjoys attention and companionship and is happiest when included in daily activities. Raleigh is still building confidence around toys and beds, and crate training is a work in progress, making patience and guidance important for her next family. Raleigh does have a mild heart condition that should be monitored. She was evaluated by a cardiologist in Korea, who noted very mild mitral valve regurgitation with no signs of disease, and a veterinarian in New York confirmed she is clinically healthy. She does not need any medication at this time, but her future family must schedule yearly echocardiograms to ensure her heart remains stable. Outside of this, Raleigh is healthy, active, and ready to thrive in a loving home.
