Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Adam Wiggleton!Santa didn't bring me a home for Christmas - but I'm hoping for my very own home in the New Year. Breed? Your guess is as good as ours — let’s just call him a “Certified Scruff Mix.” At about two years old, this handsome fellow is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to wiggle right into your heart. Adam was found starving as a stray (we suspect he was abandoned), but he hasn’t let his past dim his spirit. He’s now thriving — full of joy, personality, and just the right amount of mischief.  If his demeanor doesn't suck you right in--his soulful eyes certainly will. He’s a total social butterfly: adores kids, adults, and every dog he’s met. He currently shares his home with two canine buddies and we are looking for a home for him with another friendly companion as he loves, loves, loves to play.  Adam is an outdoorsy guy who loves hiking, zooming around with friends, and attending local baseball games with his foster mom — he’s practically the team’s unofficial mascot! &#226&#154&#190 His only “flaw”? He’s a professional countersurfer. We blame his rough start in life… but he’s quick, clever, and very proud of his title. Adam is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention and is being lovingly fostered in the Selinsgrove area. If you’re looking for a loyal, funny, adventure-loving companion (with a PhD in snack detection), Adam Wiggleton is your guy! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. UPDATE:  Crystal had her specialized heart surgery on December 2, 2025, and she has recovered well.  She is now waiting for her forever home.Help Needed for Crystal Belle Crystal Belle is a special miniature poodle who recently came into our care. At just one and a half years old, she was relinquished from a puppy mill due to a heart murmur. After a thorough evaluation by our local veterinarian, Crystal was diagnosed with a grade 6 heart murmur and subsequently referred to a veterinary cardiac specialist. Following several specialist consultations and numerous tests, Crystal is now scheduled for Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) Corrective Surgery. Her appointment is set for December 2, 2025, at a veterinary specialty clinic in New York. The combined cost of the multiple vet visits, diagnostic tests, and the surgery with specialists is expected to be more than $5,500. The encouraging news is that with this surgery, Crystal has a 98% chance of enjoying a long and healthy life. Her foster mom has shared that Crystal is a wonderful dog, and we believe she deserves this opportunity for a normal, happy future. To help fund Crystal's surgery, we gratefully accept donations via the donate button on our website at haventohome.org. Checks can be mailed to Haven to Home, PO Box 851, Berwick, PA 18603.  UPDATE:  Crystal came through PDA Surgery on December 2 and is now in her foster home recovering.  She is expected to have a full recovery and a long -- quality life.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
Peanut is a 2-year-old female that weighs 19.20 lbs – Her brother Butter was adopted and living his best life already 😊 These fantastic furbabies were found running in and out of traffic on a busy road when they were seen by a good Samaritan. It took over an hour, and lots of dodging traffic to finally encourage these 2 into their vehicle. We do not know how they were not run over, but we are so glad they gave in to going to safety! With that being said, we know they do enjoy car rides and loading up in the vehicle! While we do not know what their exact breeds are, they do not shed, therefore we do believe they can be considered hypoallergenic. Based on looks – We think they could be a mix of schnauzer, poodle, Lhasa apso, shih tzu and Tibetan Terrier, but who knows?! They are cute for sure! Peanut and Butter are not bonded, but they do get along wonderfully. They are fostered with other doggies, and they get along with all the dogs they meet, big and small, young and old. They would do great with other dogs in the home or with no dogs in the home. While they have not actively been introduced to cats recently, we believe based on their personalities they would do great with cats. They have no aggressive behaviors and are really just some of the most easy-going doggies. Peanut and Butter are more relaxed dogs – they enjoy lounging around the backyard and around the patio. Peanut is a little shyer than Butter, she does take a little bit of time to come around. The foster believes both would do great with children, but Peanut would be best with older, more well-behaved children who understand patience and kindness with a dog. Butter is more outgoing and would be better with all age children. They are crate trained and house trained. Both dogs would do best in a home that is more low key to medium active as they are not very hyperactive dogs and just like to hang out. They would do great with walks around the neighborhood or just a backyard to hang out in. Even car rides around just to get out of the house and see the views 😊 Peanut and Butter are wonderful furbabies who deserve a family or families that will love them and not let them run the streets and dodge cars that they don’t understand will end their lives. Peanut is spayed, heart worm negative, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, current on dewormer, current on age-appropriate vaccinations (parvo/distemper, bordatella and rabies vaccine) and microchipped. She will receive clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast.
