Tina is a shy little girl that was raised in a breeding program, but she did not get pregnant. She is now part of Ready 2 Rescue, so that she can find a forever home. She is 2 years old and only weighs about 5 lbs. She is a toy poodle, and is very sweet, but still very shy. We are working with her, and she gets very excited to see us, but runs when you reach to pet her or pick her up. If you go get her and pick her up slowly, she does well and will stay in your arms. Rebel is a sweet guy that was previously used in breeding. He's 5 yrs old and weighs 7 lbs.. He's a miniature poodle, and a real snuggle bug, once he gets to know you. He's friendly and will come up to strangers, but won't let you pet or pick him up until he gets to know you. He's not house trained yet, as he has lived his life until now in a dog run. He had a leg wound when we took him into rescue, but it has healed since then, but the hair still needs to grow back. He's going to be a great addition to any family, and will win your heart if you meet him! Hey everyone, you have to meet Billie — a gorgeous, fun-loving girl who is now looking for her forever home. 💕 Billie was born November 10, 2024 and currently weighs about 32 pounds. Her DNA shows she’s a mix of Poodle, Boston Terrier, and King Charles Spaniel, with a little of other breeds sprinkled in. She’s the perfect size for playing, cuddling, and everyday adventures. Billie is great with older children, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and absolutely loves to play. She enjoys going for walks and has a happy, playful personality that makes her a joy to be around. She’s about 50% house trained and does much better when she has access to a contained yard, where she can go out more frequently and continue learning her routine. Billie’s previous family had her since birth but, unfortunately, could no longer keep her. She’s lost the only home she’s ever known and is now hoping someone special will step in and give her the love, stability, and security she deserves. Regarding heartworm status: Billie tested positive initially, but that result may have been a false positive. She was retested at a different veterinary clinic, with proper timing, and that test came back negative. They are still learning about the world outside of a kennel setting and will need a patient, understanding home that is willing to give them time to adjust and build confidence at their own pace. They do best with routine, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement. While initially shy or unsure in new situations, their personality continues to shine more each day. Many breeder-release dogs thrive in homes with another friendly, confident dog to help show them the ropes. He is crate trained, does well with other dogs, but is not comfident with leash skills. They are not a “plug-and-play” dog and will need time to decompress, but with consistency and love, they become incredibly loyal and affectionate companions. Adopters should understand that adjustment can take several weeks or longer, and moments of insecurity or hesitation are normal during this transition.
