Toto came all the way from Laredo, where she was heartbreakingly close to being put down. Now safe in foster care, this adorable 1-year-old Miniature Poodle is thriving. Recently shaved and feeling fresh, she weighs just 17 lbs and has the sweetest, most gentle personality. Toto is great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and is both housetrained and hypoallergenic, making her a wonderful fit for many types of families. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but her calm nature gives us hope. Toto is spayed, up to date on shots, and ready for a forever home that will cherish her. Janet is looking for a loving foster home to help her recover while she is receiving medical treatment. Foster Reason: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) Foster Time Frame: 2 Weeks (The foster time frame could be longer depending on future medical results and needs.) Foster Care Plan: Janet is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. Since she may be contagious to other pets, we strongly recommend keeping her in a separate, dedicated space such as a spare bathroom or bedroom until she has fully recovered. She will go to her foster home with medication, and once her treatment is complete, she’ll be ready for surgery/adoption. Fortunately, her foster family came along and now she's resting comfortably in their home until she's adopted. Willow has mature cataracts and is about 85% blind in both eyes.
