Story
Reggie is a very sweet and affectionate 10-year-old neutered Miniature Schnauzer and Poodle mix. He is a gentleman who loves to cuddle and thrives on human connection. He's also quite the character—he's a master at stealing treats from the other dogs in the house and has one cherished toy a bear named Willy that he absolutely adores. He loves being dressed up in doggie pajamas and sticking his head out the window during car rides. He does well with children and enjoys being around people sometimes even more than other dogs! His daily routine includes a quick potty break in the morning afternoon and a nightly walk. While he gets along great with other dogs after a proper introduction his ideal home must be free of cats chickens and other small animals due to a high prey drive. The main reason for his rehoming is because of his behavior around small animals which his current household is full of. He also needs a patient owner who can spend time keeping him company or who has other doggos to keep him company while gone. Reggie is up-to-date on all his vaccinations and needs a calm home that is free of small animals and a person who can give him lots of love and attention. We are helping Reggie's current guardian to rehome him. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. If you have specific questions please send them through and we will put you in touch with his current guardian.August 17, 2025, 2:02 pm

Coco is 2 years old. I have had her for a year. got her from a family who could no longer care for her because of the time and attention she required. She is a loving, active dog and likes to play. Due to some health issues, I am no longer able to keep up with her energy level. She would be wonderful with kids or a young, active adult. We want to be assured that she is placed in a loving and caring environment. She is a great guard dog.

This sweet boy was in a home for 5 years and was not well cared for. The owners let him outside to roam and he was almost hit so many times. We finally had enough of seeing him wandering alone and in danger we had to step in. Owner surrendered him. He is in a foster with other dogs, learning how to play, be social, and what a personality. he is adorable! He will be spayed soon and fully vaccinated and microchipped before adoption

Story
My name is Rusty and I’m looking for my perfect home. I’m a sweet and lovable pup, 8 years old and weigh 13.8 pounds, we think he is mixed with Schnauzer. I came to AFC in March of 2024. I came from a hoarder home where 87 dogs were living. I’ve had a long road learning how to be a normal dog but I’m very precious and sweet if you give me a little time to get to know you. If you sit on the floor with me, I will climb into your lap and cover you with snuggles. I imagine I would be just as happy in your cozy recliner. I may need some more house training but I do go in and out on command. When the staff says “Go Potty” I go right out the door. I can use the doggie door too. I’m not a real fan of baths and I hate the blow dryer but I tolerate it. Luckily my scruffy fur is pretty easy care. With a little patience and love, I will learn how to walk on a leash. I’m neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Finding a home with other dogs will definitely help Rusty continue to learn and thrive as a pampered pooch. We have a Facebook page and hope that you will “Like” us at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561870361467 see postings of other dogs. Story
Dusty is amazing and has a lot of love to give. With a sweet and gentle nature, I'm sure he’ll bring a lot of joy to his future family. Here’s a little overview to help you find his perfect home: Coming from a hoarder home his best home would be with one or two other dogs, so that they can help you learn the ropes and feel more comfortable in your new environment. He will need someone who will give him time to adjust and understand that you're still learning how to be a typical dog. A cozy home with snuggly places like a recliner or big soft bed where you can curl up and feel safe would be ideal for Dusty. Your new family should be willing to help you with house training and leash walking so you can grow and learn. A home that provides plenty of toys and playtime that will keep you entertained and happy. Your willingness to snuggle will surely make you a beloved companion. You’re already showing great progress with house training, responding well to commands. With a little patience, you’ll be a wonderfully playful and loving addition to someone’s life. Dusty is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Dusty is related to Rusty. We hope you find a wonderful home that appreciates your sweet nature and gives you all the love and care you deserve! If you’re waiting for a family, keep showing off those snuggles and playing with your toys—you’ll find your forever home soon! 🐾❤️ We have a Facebook page and hope that you will “Like” us at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561870361467 to see postings of our dogs. Story
Meet Willow — A Sweet, Sensitive Soul Ready to Bloom Willow is a 1.5-year-old, 10-pound white terrier mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit just waiting to shine. Though timid at first and easily overwhelmed by busy or loud environments, once she feels safe and bonded, she blossoms into a snuggly, affectionate companion who will excitedly jump up for attention and melt into your arms. Her silly and confident side truly comes out when she's with other dogs — she absolutely thrives in the company of playful canine friends. Willow has a strong need to play and would do best in a home with a well-matched, active dog companion and a secure yard where they can run and romp together. She’s dog-door potty trained and enjoys the independence to go outside to play as she pleases. Willow also rides well in the car using a booster seat and walks nicely on leash, especially when she has another dog to follow. Because she can be fearful of children, Willow is best suited for an adult-only home. While she hasn’t lived with cats, we have no reason to believe she wouldn’t do fine with a calm feline friend. Willow will need an adopter who is experienced with nurturing shy or sensitive dogs. Patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement will be essential. A clear post-adoption transition plan tailored to her needs — including time to decompress, daily structure, mental enrichment, and continued socialization — will set her up for success. If you’re ready to earn the trust of a timid pup and watch her blossom into the joyful dog she’s meant to be, Willow may be your perfect match. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information. In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to. [Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application) For application forwarding requests or any specific inquiries, you can contact us at adopt@underdogca.com.
