Snickers is a charming, friendly, happy go lucky boy who loves people and other dogs. He came to the shelter with poodle girl Storm, after their owner had to move and could no longer care for them. Snickers is potty trained, crate trained, neutered and current on his vaccines. He would be a great companion for an active family, and would benefit from a home with a fenced yard where he can chase balls and let out his goofy energy. Koopa was rescued from an over-crowded distant shelter. He was nervous and sad there but slowly warmed up when out of his cage and meeting other dogs. He did well with our 2 transporters and our vet. He is skinny and matted. He is now relaxing at his loving foster home and getting TLC. Koopa is very sweet and loves to snuggle. More info and new photo to come. Coco is 2 years old. I have had her for a year. got her from a family who could no longer care for her because of the time and attention she required. She is a loving, active dog and likes to play. Due to some health issues, I am no longer able to keep up with her energy level. She would be wonderful with kids or a young, active adult. We want to be assured that she is placed in a loving and caring environment. She is a great guard dog.

Poindexter is a complete character — and that crazy little underbite with his tiny teeth showing makes him a one-of-a-kind handsome guy! This sweet boy was in a home for 5 years and was not well cared for. The owners let him outside to roam and he was almost hit so many times. We finally had enough of seeing him wandering alone and in danger we had to step in. Owner surrendered him. He is in a foster with other dogs, learning how to play, be social, and what a personality. he is adorable! He will be spayed soon and fully vaccinated and microchipped before adoption

My name is Rusty and I’m looking for my perfect home. I’m a sweet and lovable pup, 8 years old and weigh 13.8 pounds, we think he is mixed with Schnauzer. I came to AFC in March of 2024. I came from a hoarder home where 87 dogs were living. I’ve had a long road learning how to be a normal dog but I’m very precious and sweet if you give me a little time to get to know you. If you sit on the floor with me, I will climb into your lap and cover you with snuggles. I imagine I would be just as happy in your cozy recliner. I may need some more house training but I do go in and out on command. When the staff says “Go Potty” I go right out the door. I can use the doggie door too. I’m not a real fan of baths and I hate the blow dryer but I tolerate it. Luckily my scruffy fur is pretty easy care. With a little patience and love, I will learn how to walk on a leash. I’m neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Finding a home with other dogs will definitely help Rusty continue to learn and thrive as a pampered pooch. Meet Willow — A Sweet, Sensitive Soul Ready to Bloom Willow is a 1.5-year-old, 10-pound white terrier mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit just waiting to shine. Though timid at first and easily overwhelmed by busy or loud environments, once she feels safe and bonded, she blossoms into a snuggly, affectionate companion who will excitedly jump up for attention and melt into your arms. Her silly and confident side truly comes out when she's with other dogs — she absolutely thrives in the company of playful canine friends. Willow has a strong need to play and would do best in a home with a well-matched, active dog companion and a secure yard where they can run and romp together. She’s dog-door potty trained and enjoys the independence to go outside to play as she pleases. Willow also rides well in the car using a booster seat and walks nicely on leash, especially when she has another dog to follow.
