Story
Madonna is 11 years old,  11 pound female. She is a very calm lady and would do well in a home with similar energy. Madonna is both deaf and blind, she is missing one eye and the other is no longer functional. Madonna has a big heart, in both a figurative and literal sense. She'll require heart medication for her condition indefinitely. But she wants us to let you know her big heart just means she has more room for you in it. <3 All our dogs will come to you spayed and fully vetted. Please fill out our adoption application form at https://www.4dogsfarmrescue.org/adoption ##2301051##

Story
Agnes is a sweet scruffy girl ready for her furever home! This cutie pie came to us from a Central Valley shelter where she was on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding. We are so happy she is safe with us! Agnes is currently in a foster home and we've discovered she is well mannered doggy. Though she is a middle aged, Agnes has great energy, and loves to go on long walks and play at the park. She also has perfect leash skills, and will run, jog or walk right beside you. Agnes does fine with other dogs, and though not super interactive she isn't reactive. She is more a people dog than a dog's dog and is good with children and older folks too. Agnes is crate and potty trained. She is current on her vaccines and scheduled for her spay in early May. If interested in meeting Agnes, please complete an application at www.jellysplace.org.

Story
Poor Pollyanna was at the SASA shelter for over a month and nervous in their shelter cage with all the barking and loud noises. Once a shelter staff took her into her office she relaxed. Was good meeting shelter dogs. She did well with our transporter and at our vet. Cooperative. Vet exam and plucked some ear hair. At her foster home they shaved and brushed out the sticky weeds in her coat. Next she will get a bath or go to a groomer. She was cooperative and stood still for grooming shave. Warms up and then friendly. Enjoys lap time. Pollyanna needs time to relax and adjust at her foster home to see more of her personality. More info. and photos to come. 5/1/25 Update: Pollyanna is now in a foster to adoption home due to previous foster home's family emergency. Polly is good meeting and friendly with other dogs on walks but at home she seems to prefer to be the only dog for attention. Not sure if it's the other dog at previous home or she needs more time to adjust to another dog in home.May 5, 2025, 12:17 am

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, May 3rd from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $750 Meet the Rock Puppies: Joan Jett, Mick Jagger, Janis Joplin, and Stevie Nicks!(Yes, we suspect they have multiple dads—this band is genre-bending in more ways than one.) Straight off their final backyard tour, these 3 month old Schnauzer–Terrier–Min Pin–maybe-who-knows mixes are ready to retire from the spotlight and settle down in loving homes. They're expected to be medium-sized when full-grown—but their personalities are already stadium-sized. Joan Jett (Female, 7 lbs) This punk rock namesake prefers ballads to breakdowns. Joan is the mellow one in the band—easygoing, snuggly, and content to lie by your feet while you work. She makes the funniest gremlin sounds when she plays and would happily give up fame for the sweet rhythm of a home routine. She gets along great with other dogs, politely worming her way into their hearts—and their beds. A true introvert with a social side. Mick Jagger (Male, 13 lbs) All swagger and snuggles, Mick is the frontman of the crew. Confident, charming, and always in motion (until it’s time to dramatically collapse in your lap like he just finished a sold-out set). He plays hard, loves harder, and is a professional cuddler in his downtime. Mick is the perfect mix of energy and affection, with a curly tail and a whole lot of charisma. Janis Joplin (Female) Janis is the free spirit. She's high-energy, goofy, and loves to wrestle, chase, and scale enclosures like she's on stage at Woodstock. She’ll follow her sister Stevie anywhere—and usually ends up in the middle of the action. She’s social, submissive with adult dogs, and ready to make everyone her friend. She’s also a fan of bully sticks, chew toys, and climbing gear (well, technically, playpens). Janis is wild-hearted but oh-so-sweet. Stevie Nicks (Female) The leader of this girl group, Stevie is curious, clever, and a little bit magical. She’s a belly-rub enthusiast, a world-class food sniffer, and an expert in the art of hoarding treats. She’s endlessly entertaining—exploring, climbing, cuddling, and gently bossing her siblings around. She respects her adult dog friends, but definitely tests their patience with her persistent charm. Stevie is bold, loving, and ready to enchant her new family. The Tour Routine These rockstars rise early (even before their roadies—aka fosters). Breakfast hits the stage around 7:30 AM, but they’d gladly eat earlier. Their days are filled with bursts of zoomie-fueled play, tag-team wrestling matches, toy stealing, backyard exploring, and power naps worthy of any post-concert crash. They cuddle hard, play harder, and love chewing on bully sticks while waiting for dinner at 6 PM. TV time on the couch? Count them in. Crate time? Well… let’s just say the crowd isn’t always pleased. They’re working on it—but full crate training will require an encore or two. Potty training is going surprisingly well for a bunch of tiny rebels. With frequent breaks and supervision, accidents are rare. When their foster is away, they hang in their pen with pee pads, soft beds, and toys—unless they've staged a jailbreak (looking at you, Janis and Stevie). Are You Ready to Be Their Biggest Fan?These pups are friendly, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. They’d thrive in homes with other dogs to jam with, or humans who love puppy energy, snuggles, and a little bit of chaos. Whether you adopt one or two, you’ll be getting a bandmate for life. So if you’ve got room in your heart (and your backyard stage), Joan Jett, Mick Jagger, Janis Joplin, and Stevie Nicks are ready to rock your world.May 2, 2025, 4:51 am

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $650 Crumpet – Soft on the Outside, Sass on the Inside Age: 6 years old Breed: Schnoodle (Schnauzer + Poodle = Fluffy Genius) Weight: 22 lbs of lightly toasted loaf Shedding: Non-existent (just like his need for constant attention) If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a walking croissant with opinions, meet Crumpet—our perfectly golden, slightly flaky, soft-hearted snuggle adjacent foster who’s basically a cozy Sunday morning in dog form. This 6-year-old Schnoodle was rescued from the shelter, dusted off like fine china, and now lives to lounge near his people, soak up the sun, and make very serious eye contact with rabbits on walks. He may not demand belly rubs or leap into your lap, but he will give you the kind of quiet, loyal companionship that feels like a weighted blanket with paws. A Day in the Life of a Crumpet: 7:00 AM: Wake-up, morning potty break, paws gently buffed and fluffed post-outing 7:30 AM: Breakfast (fish-based—this boy has allergies, but he eats like a Michelin-starred guest) Daytime: Sunbathing, people-watching, quietly judging you from the corner of the room while absolutely refusing to fetch anything Afternoon stroll: Light stretching of the legs and strategic rabbit tracking Evening: A long walk, dinner, couch time, and quality background presence while you do chores Night: Final potty break, then snuggled into his dog bed in your room because yes, he’s emotionally supportive, but also values his personal space Why Crumpet Might Just Be Your New Best Friend: Crate-averse but couch-devoted Fully house-trained (he’s a gentleman, after all) Doesn’t bark unless he has a reason—like zoomies, or a dog giving him attitude Great with small dogs, polite (but suspicious) around the big ones Good with kids, especially if they come with snacks and gentle pets Not a big toy guy, but he will hoard his treats upstairs like a Victorian miser hiding gold Walks like a dream... until a rabbit appears, and then he walks like he’s auditioning for “Mission: Impossible” Scenarios You Can Totally Picture: You’re sipping coffee in your backyard. Crumpet is lying in a sunbeam, looking like a dog-shaped biscuit, occasionally rolling over with the sigh of someone who’s known true luxury. You’re out at a café. Crumpet is chilling under the table, impressing everyone with his mysterious calm. You catch someone trying to sneak a photo. You drop a snack. Crumpet appears silently, like a polite food ninja, and then just... stays. Forever. Crumpet’s Ideal Home: Someone who works from home or is home often. A backyard for lounging is highly recommended. Crumpet’s not a fan of long, lonely days—he wants to be your shadow, not your pen pal. In Summary: Crumpet doesn’t need constant petting. He’s not clingy. He doesn’t demand a ton. But he will curl up nearby, give you slow blinks of affection, and remind you daily that peace, loyalty, and low-shedding companionship are worth their weight in dog biscuits. If you’re looking for a best friend who’s mellow, magical, and secretly hilarious (ask him about that time he growled at himself in the mirror)—Crumpet is your guy. Apply now to bring home a flaky, fuzzy, perfectly golden companion. No jam necessary.May 12, 2025, 1:21 pm
