Story
One thing you’ll notice immediately about Bluegrass, is that’s he’s excited to be here! From his wiggly body to his joyful barks, Bluegrass is perfect from his head to the tips of his terrier mix toes. If you enjoy taking short walks about the neighborhood, Bluegrass is the perfect plus one, but if you’d prefer to veg on the couch for a cuddle, he’s got you covered there, too! Bluegrass is easily bribed with treats so you’ll be fast friends if you slip him something yummy, but his natural friendliness makes him a favorite with all friends both human and canine. If you’re looking to make a match with a mutt, Bluegrass hopes you and he will be on the same sheet of music. Here's some notes from his foster: Bluegrass is a sweet and social boy- he loves other dogs and can very enthusiastic to meet them at time. Once Bluegrass has time to settle in, his affectionate and goofy personality start to shine. Bluegrass will thrive on a regular routine that includes a lot of outside time and socialization with other dogs and people. This guy is going to bring so much happiness to his new family and I can't wait to help him find it!

Story
While Amy may technically be a senior, you’d never know it from her playful spirit and happy energy. She is approximately 7 years old and weighs 17 lbs. We believe she’s a Poodle mix—possibly with a bit of Schnauzer. When Amy first arrived at the shelter, her coat had to be shaved due to heavy matting, but it’s now growing back beautifully. She will need regular grooming to keep her coat looking it’s best. Amy is a true sweetheart who loves everyone she meets. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and enjoys playtime with her canine friends. She is fully house-trained, loves her daily walks, and walks very nicely on leash. Amy has already made lots of friends in the neighborhood! Her ideal home would be one where someone is around most of the time to give her the love and companionship she thrives on. If you’d like to give sweet Amy the forever home she deserves, please complete an application at 1luckydogrescue.org or reach out to Nancy at nancymoore016@gmail.com. When emailing, please tell us a little about the home you would offer Amy.

* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an application. * This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, June 20th from 12-3 PM unless adopted prior to the event.   All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.   Adoption fee: $650 Meet the Clue Litter   At a Glance   8 weeks old Raised in a foster home since 2 weeks old Socialized with children ages 8 to 13 Introduced to cats Smart and eager to learn Using a puppy door during the day Learning recall, sit, and basic commands Affectionate and people focused Exposed to household noises and daily family life Expected to mature to a medium size similar to their 22 lb mother Mix of scruffy and smooth, low maintenance coats   ---     Five puppies. Five unique personalities. One incredible start in life.   At just two weeks old, these puppies arrived in foster care with their devoted mother, Clue. Over the following six weeks, they have been raised in a loving family home surrounded by children, visitors, household activity, and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. Thanks to Clue's patient guidance and the dedication of their foster family, these puppies have developed into confident, affectionate, and well socialized companions who are ready to begin the next chapter of their lives.   The Clue Litter has been raised alongside children ages 8 to 13 and has enjoyed regular interaction with both adults and kids. They have been exposed to everyday household life, including televisions, dishwashers, vacuums, gardeners, visitors, and the normal sights and sounds of a busy home. They have also been introduced to cats and are growing up comfortable around a variety of experiences.   Like their mother, these puppies are exceptionally smart. They are already learning recall, sit, and basic commands and eagerly respond to positive reinforcement. During the day, they use a puppy door to independently go outside for potty breaks and playtime, and at night they consistently use pee pads in their x pen. They are curious, food motivated, and genuinely enjoy learning.   More than anything, these puppies love being with people. Whether they are following the kids around, climbing into laps for cuddles, or eagerly participating in training sessions, they have been raised to see humans as an important and rewarding part of their world.   While each puppy has a unique personality, they all share the same loving foundation. They are affectionate, people oriented, playful, and eager to learn. Based on their current size and build, we expect them to grow into medium sized companions similar to their mother.   If you're looking for a puppy who has had an exceptional start in life and is ready to continue learning, exploring, and loving, one of the Clue puppies may be your perfect match.   ---   Dagger   Dagger has quickly become the favorite of the twelve year old in his foster home, and it's easy to see why. This handsome boy combines confidence, intelligence, and affection into one irresistible package.   A medium sized puppy within the litter, Dagger loves to play with his siblings and join in family activities, but he also appreciates quality cuddle time. In the evenings, you'll often find him curled up on the couch giving kisses and soaking up attention from his favorite people.   Like his mother, Dagger is smart, eager to please, and highly trainable. He isn't the leader of the group, but he's always happy to join whatever adventure is underway. His balanced personality makes him a wonderful combination of playful companion and devoted snuggle buddy.   ---   Candlestick     Don't let her small size fool you. Candlestick may be the runt of the litter, but she has one of the biggest personalities.   This little girl is determined to be included in everything. Whether her siblings are wrestling, exploring, or meeting new people, Candlestick is right there making sure she doesn't miss out. She approaches life with confidence and enthusiasm that far exceeds her size.   Candlestick is incredibly affectionate with both people and her littermates. She loves being part of the action and thrives on connection and companionship. Her spunky personality, loving nature, and endless enthusiasm make her impossible not to adore.   ---   Pistol    Pistol's silky smooth coat perfectly matches her gentle personality.   While some puppies rush headfirst into every activity, Pistol prefers to take a moment to observe the world around her. She is thoughtful, calm, and quietly confident. Often you'll find her sitting nearby, patiently waiting for pets and affection rather than demanding attention.   Pistol is happy to join in playtime with her siblings, but she is equally content exploring independently or simply relaxing and watching the world go by. She loves cuddles, kisses, and spending time with her people. Her steady, sweet nature gives her a maturity that is remarkable for such a young puppy.   ---   Wrench   Wrench has a scruffy coat, an expressive face, and a personality that instantly wins hearts.   This lovable girl learned early that sitting politely often results in being picked up for cuddles, and she has been charming people ever since. Smart and observant like her mother, Wrench quickly picks up on routines and enjoys interacting with everyone around her.   She has a wonderful medium energy level and plays happily with all of her siblings. Whether she's wrestling, exploring, or soaking up affection, Wrench brings a gentle and easygoing spirit to everything she does. It's no surprise she became the foster mom's favorite, and she may just know it.   ---   Lead Pipe    Lead Pipe is the natural leader of the litter.   Confident, social, and endlessly curious, she is often the first to investigate a new toy, explore a new space, or figure out a puppy sized puzzle. She loves learning how things work and approaches life with enthusiasm and determination.   While she may be one of the more active puppies in the group, she is equally devoted to her people. Lead Pipe loves following family members around, staying involved in whatever is happening, and making sure she's included. When playtime is over, she crashes just as enthusiastically as she played.   Smart, affectionate, and full of personality, Lead Pipe is the kind of puppy who turns everyday life into an adventure.   ----   In the game of Clue, the goal is to solve the mystery. Fortunately, there's no mystery here! These puppies are smart, affectionate, well socialized, and ready to become beloved family members. The only question left to solve is which puppy is meant for you.   June 18, 2026, 12:02 pm

This handsome 6-8 year old Schnauzer mix comes complete with a spectacular underbite, two remaining tusks, and an easygoing personality. At 41 pounds, he's a little more 'robust boar' than his vets would prefer, but what he carries in extra weight he more than makes up for in pure, uncomplicated sweetness. Morning Routine: Walk, Wiggle, Nap, Repeat Warthog is a man of simple pleasures and zero demands. He gets up when you get up and is perfectly content to match your schedule, whatever that looks like. Once he's up, a daily walk is on the agenda, and he takes it seriously. The highlight of any walk? Finding just the right patch of grass. When Warthog discovers a particularly good spot, he'll drop to his back and wiggle with pure joy, letting out satisfied little grunts while he wriggles around. After the walk, Warthog returns to his true calling: sleeping. He is spectacularly gifted at it. Dog bed, couch cushion, your lap — he's flexible on location, firm on the importance of rest. Personality: Calm, Sweet, and Quietly Irresistible Warthog is not a dog who needs to make an entrance. He won't bark for attention, just simply exists near you, tail wagging softly, radiating a calm and steady happiness that you'll find yourself gravitating toward. He loves affection but isn't pushy about it. Give him a good neck scratch or a slow pet, and you may find a gentle nudge reminding you that you stopped too soon. Every single person he meets gets a wagging tail. He also wags while eating, which is one of the most wholesome things you'll ever see at a food bowl. One thing worth noting: he has opinions about food. Kibble and canned food are beneath him. Fresh food is where his loyalty lies. Home Life and Habits Warthog is a genuinely easy houseguest-turned-family-member. He is fully housetrained, settles easily into new routines, has zero separation anxiety, and requires no particular fuss. He's not interested in toys or chew sticks — just proximity to his people and the occasional nap upgrade. He's fine in a multi-dog home and seems to quietly enjoy canine company, but he's equally happy as an only dog. He does not snore. He does not drool. He takes car rides in stride once he knows the routine. The Home Warthog is Looking For Warthog would be an exceptional match for an adopter who's long past the desire for the puppy chaos years. He asks for very little: a walk, some food he approves of, a soft place to sleep near you, and the occasional neck scratch that you will absolutely not be allowed to stop prematurely. In return, he offers steady companionship, tail wags at mealtimes, grass-rolling performances on every walk, and the quiet, grounding comfort of a good dog who is just happy to be near you. June 18, 2026, 12:02 pm

Story
Monica is an 10-year-old female dog, weighing about 16 pounds (as of March 2026). She exhibits a friendly attitude towards other dogs but shows a considerable amount of shyness around people. Her small size and gentle nature make her well-suited to a quiet home where she can slowly build trust at her own pace. While she may take a long time to warm up to new human friends, her sociability with other dogs suggests she could thrive in a household with other pets, providing her with companionship and a sense of security. Her patient and determined owner will be rewarded with her loyalty and affection as she becomes more comfortable in her new environment.Phoebe, Rachel, Monica and Rosalyn are sistersAll our dogs will come to you spayed and fully vetted. Please fill out our adoption application form at https://www.4dogsfarmrescue.org/adoption ##2301053##
