Mel was brought home from the humane society. She needs a home where she will get lots of attention. She can be very energetic but loves to nap. She shouldn’t be paired with any other animals but is great with all people including kids. She doesn’t make a mess in the house and only goes to the bathroom outside. She is 7 years old.

Story
Hi There!! Lucy Here, born in rescue in 2014 with 7 other siblings to our Mama Mercedes. I am a sweet girl, very quiet and loving, gentle, obedient and good on leash and love long walks and can walk 3 miles! I love car rides and outdoor dining with you as we are well behaved!. I was available for adoption with my brother Chuck, we looked alike in our faces but not our body, Rescue thinks that Mom was a Puggle and Dad a Schnauzer. All us puppies and Mama were adopted in 2014, we had a family of our own to share, a Mom, Dad our own little girl and a fur sister...We were happy....Then, Our family returned my brother and I to the rescue June 2019, 5yrs later! Why? Because our Dad adopted a pitbull after they adopted us, and they already had a King Charles Cavalier... Why did he do that? who knows ... and that dog was picking on my brother Chuck, and human Mom was too stressed out to handle a new baby and the attacks... So we came back to our Rescuer in search of a loving, quiet home to retire in and take our walks.... we were in foster care a long time till our foster parents decided to travel, and then we became semi permanent residents of our rescuer… my sweet brother Chuck recently crossed over rainbow bridge and I am alone now… I would love nothing more than to be with an active Elder person or couple that takes walks and enjoys my company…. I’m a diamond in the rough I may not be beautiful outside but I’m beautiful inside I’m loyal, dedicated, and obedient… Will you let me spend my final chapters with you? Please consider an elder bonded pair, these pups are so well behaved, they are currently with Foster Parents in Yorba Linda who will tell you how good they are...

Story
Meet Goliath! Goliath is a sweet senior boy who came to us from a high-kill shelter after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Having spent his whole life in a home, he was understandably confused about how he ended up there—but thanks to rescue, Goliath is now safe and ready for his next chapter. This spry senior weighs about 16 pounds and is currently on the thin side, which is not uncommon for dogs coming from a shelter environment. With consistent meals, patience, and loving care, he is expected to do well. While we’re not certain of his breed, we are certain he’s 100% a good boy. Goliath is dog-friendly, people-friendly, and has a calm, gentle nature that makes him a joy to be around. He would thrive in a quiet, low-key home with someone who values companionship and enjoys a relaxed pace of life. He isn’t a barker, enjoys leisurely walks, does well on leash, and would love a home with a backyard where he can wander and soak up the day at his own pace. If you’re looking to give a deserving senior a loving forever home, please consider opening your heart to Goliath. He’s ready to return that kindness with endless love and companionship. If you are interested in meeting Goliath please complete the adoption application on our website, www.greatpets.org. Goliath is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. His adoption donation is $150.January 30, 2026, 9:28 am
