***Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time*** We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Gregory is a young 7 month old, fun-loving, playful puppy with a big personality and lots of enthusiasm for life. Like most young dogs, he’s full of energy and loves to spend his days playing with toys, exploring, and making new friends. Gregory enjoys playing with other dogs, especially those around his size (about 35–50 lbs), and he’s always ready for a good game of chase or wrestling in the yard. Gregory is outgoing, curious, and very affectionate with his people. He loves attention and will happily curl up on your lap after a day of play. He greets new people with excitement and friendliness, and his playful spirit makes him a joy to be around. Because he’s still a young puppy, Gregory is learning the basics of good dog manners. He is currently working on things like leash skills, potty training, and basic commands. He walks on a leash fairly well but is still learning to stay close, and he can sometimes get excited when he sees other dogs. With consistency and positive training, Gregory will continue to grow into a wonderful companion. Gregory has plenty of puppy energy and would do best with an active adopter who can give him regular exercise, playtime, and training. Another playful dog in the home could be a great match for him, but it isn’t required as long as he gets plenty of attention and activity. Since Gregory is still young and learning, he would likely do best in a home without small children. He is affectionate and loves to be close to his people, making him a great companion for someone looking for a loyal and playful best friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic pup who will keep you smiling and growing right alongside you, Gregory might be the perfect addition to your family. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him? Story
Meet Bucky Mini Schnauzer / Maltese Mix | Male | DOB: 3/1/2024 | 15 Pounds | Healthy Bucky is 15 pounds of loyalty wrapped in a happy, wiggly body. At two years old, he’s the perfect balance — playful enough to keep life fun, mature enough to settle beautifully into a routine. He’s the kind of little dog who chooses his person and loves them with his whole heart. Personality Bucky is affectionate, bright, and deeply people-oriented. He enjoys walks, toys, and interactive play, but what he truly loves most is being close. He’ll follow you from room to room, curl beside you on the couch, and look at you like you’re the best thing that ever happened to him. He bonds strongly and thrives when he feels included. Breed Info A Maltese/Schnauzer mix often brings intelligence, trainability, and strong attachment to their people. They are companion-oriented dogs who do not thrive in isolation. Grooming will be part of her lifelong care, and mental engagement is important to prevent boredom. With proper training and routine, this mix becomes wonderfully loyal and well-adjusted Owner Responsibilities Daily companionship, gentle exercise, mental stimulation, and positive reinforcement. Bucky will flourish with routine and stability. Things to Consider Is your housing secure and pet-approved long term? Are you prepared financially for grooming, veterinary care, and emergencies? If your life changes — a move, new job, relationship changes — will Chelsea still have a place in it? Adopting a young dog means committing through every stage of life. Vet Care Even though Chelsea is healthy, it is important to establish care with your own veterinarian immediately after adoption. This ensures proper vaccination follow-up, growth monitoring, and preventative care planning. The 3-3-3 Rule The first 3 days she may feel unsure or overstimulated. The first 3 weeks she will begin understanding your routine. By 3 months, with patience and consistency, she will feel safe and truly at home. Adjustment is a process, not an instant transition. Why Bucky? Bucky is the kind of dog who becomes your little shadow and your steady companion. He will celebrate your return home, curl beside you at night, and offer loyalty that feels deeply personal. If you’re ready for a devoted best friend who chooses you every day, Bucky is ready to choose you back. If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
Jake is a 2-3 year old, 20lb Schnauzer/Poodle mix (maybe? we don't actually know his breeds, it's all a guess).  Jake was found as a stray and dumped a shelter in Kansas.  He was with a couple other dogs when he was found but was the least terrified out of all of them.  The shelter reached out to us in hopes we could bring him into our foster program and help him come out of his shell and learn how to be a dog.  He has now been with us for a couple months and is ready to find his forever family!  When he was first found he was super matted and had a thick, dirty coat so he was completely shaved down.  His fur is starting to grow out again.  He has super soft, fluffy fur, and seems to be mostly non-shedding, but we cannot guarantee he is hypoallergenic since we don't know his background.  He will need regular grooming appointments though to keep him looking handsome and feeling great.   Jake has really started to blossom and learn all that life has to offer as a loved and cherished dog.  He seems to be a dog who picks one human to really bond with.  He follows his foster dad around the house everywhere and loves to snuggle with him.  He would do great in a lower key home with a human or humans who will be patient with him and let him learn to trust them at his own pace.  We know he will bond with his forever human the same way he has with his foster dad, he just needs to be given the time to do so.  He does well with cats and we will require he goes to a home with another dog so he can continue to learn from the behaviors of a confident dog.  Jake does great on a leash and is learning to loves walks around the neighborhood, romping around the backyard with the other dogs, and snuggling up with the other dogs and his foster dad during down time.   If you are interested in giving Jake a forever home, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2433456##

Story
Hi, my name is Shortie! Kelsey and RezDawg Rescue saved me from being euthanized, and I am so very thankful. I was given a second chance at life — and I don’t take that for granted. Not only am I Shortie… I’m a total cutie too! I’m a 3 year-old Schnauzer who is a joy to be around. I love to play — chasing balls and fetching are some of my favorite things! I enjoy running in the yard, going on car rides, and being part of whatever my humans are doing. I get along great with kitty cats, other dogs, kids, and people of all ages. I’m social, loving, and happiest when I’m included. And when the day winds down? My favorite place is snuggled up right next to you in bed or curled beside you on the couch. I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccines, including rabies, so I’m healthy and ready for my forever home. I survived. I was saved. And now I’m just looking for a family who will love me for the rest of my life. Could that be you? If you fill out a non-obligation adoption application you and I could meet and see if we are a good fit for one another and your family dynamics. I sure hope to meet you soon!! ##2666238##
