Meet Pickles Abandoned and Forgotten—Now Ready to Be Loved Forever ❤️ Breed: Miniature Schnauzer Mix Gender: Female | DOB: 7/23/2025 | Weight/Size: Small Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Spayed | ✔️ Vaccinations Up to Date | ✔️ Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Pickles' Story Pickles deserved so much better. At some point in her life, the family she trusted made the heartbreaking decision to leave her behind. Suddenly, she was alone, trying to survive on the streets without the comfort and care she had always known. When rescuers found her, her coat was heavily matted, dirty, and neglected, making it clear she had been fending for herself for quite some time. Beneath all those tangled mats, however, was something truly special—a sweet little dog who had never stopped believing that someone would help her. After being rescued, Pickles received a much-needed grooming, veterinary care, nutritious meals, and plenty of love. As the knots disappeared and her beautiful face was revealed, so did her cheerful personality. It didn't take long for everyone to fall in love with this happy little girl. Pickles is affectionate, gentle, and loves being close to her people. She enjoys leisurely walks, exploring the yard, relaxing in a cozy bed, and following her favorite person from room to room just to be part of whatever is happening. She has a calm, loving personality and appreciates every bit of attention she's given. As a Miniature Schnauzer Mix, Pickles is intelligent, loyal, and eager to please. Miniature Schnauzers are known for their bright personalities, adaptability, and devotion to their families. They enjoy learning, love spending time with their people, and make wonderful companions for individuals, couples, and families alike. Pickles would thrive in a home that offers: Daily walks and moderate exercise Plenty of love and companionship Positive reinforcement training Interactive toys and mental enrichment A comfortable indoor home where she can always be close to her family A predictable daily routine A lifetime of love, patience, and commitment Pickles has already experienced what it feels like to be abandoned. Now she's looking for something she's always deserved—a family that will love her, protect her, and never let her feel alone again. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Although Pickles has likely lived in a home before, every rescue dog needs time to adjust to a new environment. New routines, unfamiliar surroundings, and different experiences can take time to understand. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to learn your household routine 3 Months to fully settle into family life Pickles is eager to please and enjoys being with people, making her an excellent candidate for continued positive reinforcement training. As she grows comfortable in her new surroundings, her playful, affectionate personality will continue to blossom. Her new family should continue providing: Positive reinforcement training Daily walks and regular exercise Mental enrichment through toys and interactive games Consistent routines and gentle leadership Continued socialization Plenty of love, patience, and encouragement With kindness and stability, Pickles will become a loyal companion who will happily spend every day by your side. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Adopting Pickles is a lifelong commitment that includes providing proper veterinary care, exercise, companionship, and unconditional love. As part of responsible pet ownership, Pickles will need: Annual veterinary wellness examinations Routine vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention A balanced, nutritious diet to maintain a healthy weight Regular exercise and mental enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training A safe, loving indoor home where she is treated as a cherished member of the family We recommend scheduling a wellness examination with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and help ensure Pickles continues to thrive throughout her life. After everything she's been through, Pickles deserves the comfort of knowing she'll never have to fend for herself again. Story
Meet Shaun, a sweet senior who deserves a second chance. Shaun is guessed to be a 13 year-old Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle mix). At some point Shaun gave his whole heart to someone he knew love and then one day found himself at a California shelter confused, heartbroken and and left behind in his golden years. Shaun will require someone that’s home most of the time, since he has dementia, and is receiving three small meals a day. He does have a grade 3 heart murmur, so he will not be able to be neutered. He is a special boy that will require a special home with lots of love and TLC. 🐾❤️

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Nemo #3 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Nemo #3 | 5-month-old Mini Schnoodle | Your adorable little shadow Nemo is a sweet, playful 5-month-old Mini Schnoodle who loves everyone he meets—people, dogs, and, perhaps a little too enthusiastically, cats. He is a high-energy puppy who loves walks, toys, tennis balls, and anything he can chew, and he is always ready for his next adventure. He is also a total Velcro pup who wants to be wherever his people are and loves being held like a baby. Nemo is still working on his puppy manners, including house training, basic commands, play biting, jumping, and learning to settle when crated or left alone. He is a fast learner and responds well to training, especially when treats and affection are involved. He is also an enthusiastic chewer and has a habit of trying to eat anything he can find, so his new family will need to keep a close eye on him. He does well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion, although he could also be happy as an only dog. Because he chases and barks at cats, a cat-free home would be best. Nemo would thrive in a home where someone is around much of the time and can give him plenty of attention, exercise, structure, and dedicated training. A fenced yard would be a big bonus for those puppy zoomies! As with any puppy, accidents can happen while he is adjusting to a new home and routine.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $475 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 72 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Meet Peter! Peter is a small, white Mini Schnauzer mix with a lot of personality packed into his little frame. Rescued from the shelter just in time, Peter has been given a second chance at life, and now we’re looking for his perfect forever home. Peter’s ideal adopter is an experienced dog owner who understands that some dogs need a little extra care and patience. Peter has shown some bite tendencies, and while we’re working with a trainer to understand his triggers, it’s important to be mindful of his boundaries. He doesn’t like being picked up and prefers not to be pet unless he comes to you first. When he feels safe and comfortable, Peter can be snuggly and affectionate—but it’s always on his terms. He is good with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a great fit for him. However, because of his biting history, Peter should not be in a home with children. Peter isn’t just a dog—he’s a work in progress who needs someone willing to invest time, patience, and love into helping him thrive. In the right home, Peter’s personality will shine, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and companionship. If you’re the experienced, patient adopter Peter needs, please fill out an application on our website. Peter is waiting for someone to see the good dog he truly is and help him live his best life. Once he warms up, Peter is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He would do best in a quiet household with adults or older children who understand his need for patience and kindness. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion, Peter is ready to meet you and start a new chapter in his life!
