Meet Scooby, so adorable, so sweet and so playful. Abuot 6 months old and just over 10 pounds. Doing his best to learn household skills like doing all of his business outside (getting better every day) and walking on the leash. Being great with people, kids and dogs just comes naturally. Apply at almosthomedogs.org Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Story
Sadie is an 8 yo 16 lb. chocolate/liver female mini schnauzer who is still looking for her forever home in PA, DE, MD, VA, or DC. She is a friendly, barky, playful, active dog who loves attention and is a lapdog. Playing with her toys and fetching them is one of her favorite pastimes. She is a big fan of going for walks. She is house-trained and crate trained. She is microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Sadie was spayed in rescue as well as having bladder stones removed. She will need to be on urinary prescription food the rest of her life to prevent the stones from reoccurring. Sadie would do best in a townhome or single family home with a fenced yard with an adopter who would take her on walks. Children should be age 10 or older. She does not get along with dogs living in the home, so should be an only dog. Sadie's adopter will be required to take her through obedience training. If you would like to be considered to adopt Sadie, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered. Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm/Lyme tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees. We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications from these areas.
