Story
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE APPLYING! Reesie is a 4-year-old black and gray female miniature schnauzer looking for her forever family in PA, DE, MD, VA, or DC. She is 16 lbs. She is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm/Lyme tested, and spayed. She is a sweet, barky, playful, active, adult visitor friendly, lapdog/cuddler, and loves getting lots of attention. Reesie loves to bark a lot. She spends her time following her foster around everywhere in the home or barking at people and dogs she sees out the window. She likes to walk at a face pace on the leash and does pull when barking. She does not play with toys. She is house-trained and crate trained. Reesie was originally adopted by a family from a shelter and had come into the shelter as a stray. She was adopted by a family with 5 children and another mini schnauzer. Unfortunately, she gets overly excited with younger children and lots of activity in the home and then acts out aggressively with other pets or nips at the younger children. She also has jealousy issues with other dogs. Due to Reesie’s background, she is looking to be the only pet in the home, which is an adult only single family home with a fenced yard. If you would like to be considered to adopt Reesie, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered. Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm/Lyme tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees. We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications from these areas. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Our website features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips. You can donate to Reesie's care at http://schnauzerrescue.net/Donate.htm via PayPal or check. All donations go to the veterinary fund and are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Thanks for your support!

Story
Meet Lola and Kobe, a bonded mini schnauzer pair looking for their forever family in PA, DE, MD, VA, or DC. They will only be adopted together to a home with no other pets. A fenced yard (privately fenced, not a dog park) is preferable as they love to run around the yard together and play. They do love walks. No children younger than teenagers due to Kobe and Lola's background. Both Kobe and Lola are well behaved and sweet little dogs. They love people and are total cuddle bugs. Kobe is a 6 yo, 13 lb., barky lapdog. He has been a bit nippy with young children. We suspect he was tormented while in his crate. An adopter will have to be careful reaching into the crate with Kobe.. Lola is a 5 yo, 11 lb, friendly dog. She is shy when first meeting strangers. Both dogs are up-to-date on vaccines and have had dentals. Kobe was neutered. Both dogs are house trained and crate trained. Kobe plays with toys and neither has food aggression. If you would like to be considered to adopt Kobe and Lola, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Story
Travis was a matted stray picked up by animal control. He is very handsome now that he is groomed, and we think he is a schnauzer mix. Travis is around 2 years old and weighs 21 pounds. He loves people and will be a great companion. Travis loves toys and will play by himself or with the other dogs. He is very active and will run and play for hours. He is a typical schnauzer and can be a bit of a jerk. If another dog has a toy or treat, he will stand in front of them and challenge them until they drop whatever they have. He then grabs it and runs off. He can also be a jerk to other dogs over food. Despite that, Travis is a pretty good dog. He is very smart and opinionated. He is pretty much leash and house trained, but not perfect. He does need a fully fenced and secure yard. Travis is neutered, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Travis' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Hagerstown MD or Quicksburg VA. Travis is being fostered with our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this sweet boy.
