PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION FIRST AND IF INTERESTED SEND AN EMAIL TO SCHNAUZERRESCUE@OUTLOOK.COM FOR AN ADO.PTION APPLICATIONZoey is an 5 yo salt and pepper mini schnauzer who is ready to find her forever family in PA, DE, MD, VA, or DC. This friendly, barky little lady is a playful lapdog. She's obsessed with her stuffed squeaker toys. She loves to curl up with you on the sofa while you binge your TV shows. Evening walks are her favorite time to strut her stuff, but don't be fooled - this particular princess only does her business in the comfort of her own fenced yard!Zoey's ideal home is a single-family home with a secure fenced yard where she can explore and potty in peace. She would do best with an adopter who's home most of the time as she has some separation anxiety. She does do better with a radio or TV left on while you are away. She would do best in a home with no children or older children 12 and up. Zoey is a bit sensitive about her paws and backend being touched, and she has manageable food aggression, which can easily be handled by feeding her in a separate area, crate, or pen when other dogs are around. She gets along with other dogs and does wonderfully with cats!If you are looking for someone to be your shadow who will greet you like you have been gone forever when you come back home, Zoey is your girl! She is up-to-date on her vaccines and was spayed when she came into rescue. Zoey's adopter will be required to take her through obedience training. If you would like to be considered to adopt Zoey, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered.Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm/Lyme tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees. We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications from these areas. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Our website features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips.
