Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet  Peanut , the only San Antonio resident who can honestly say he’s seen the "bottom" of the city and decided it wasn't for him. Born around  January 14, 2024 , Peanut is a 15.4-pound Yorkie mix who was literally rescued from a local sewer plant. While his past is a bit...  fragrant ... his future is looking bright, clean, and full of snacks. Personality:  Mostly muscle and "Big Dog" energy Vibe:  Social butterfly, leash-walking professional, and world-class fetch enthusiast. Special Skill:  Can navigate a sewer, but prefers your sofa. The "Nuance":  Peanut is a gentleman until dinner is served. He has some  serious food aggression  around other dogs. He basically believes he’s a Viking defending a feast, so he’ll need to be fed separately or live in a home where he doesn't have to worry about "roommates" eyeing his kibble.   Peanut is looking for a human who matches his high-octane energy. He’d be the perfect companion for an  older child  who has a tireless throwing arm and a love for fetch.  His adoption fee is $400 and you can apply at www.adoggie4you.org.  Important Note:  While he’s very social with people, his "Table Manners" with other dogs are non-existent. He’s the guy who starts a bar fight over a single french fry. For that reason, a home where he can be the solo star (or has a very structured feeding routine) is a must Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 6, 2026, 10:29 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sprout: The Tiny Lightning Bolt! If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if a Yorkie mix stuck his paw in an electric outlet, look no further. Sprout is here to show you exactly what "permanent bedhead" and "infinite energy" look like! Born around July 28, 2024, this 17.8-pound wire-haired wonder isn't just a dog—he’s a fuzzy, four-legged battery that never needs recharging. The Sprout Experience The Energizer Bunny: Sprout doesn't really "walk"—he vibrates from point A to point B. He is constantly on the move and ready for the next adventure, game of fetch, or zoomie session. The Wiggle Worm: Trying to hold Sprout? Good luck! He’s made of 50% Yorkie and 50% cooked spaghetti. He’s a professional squirmer who would much rather be playing than sitting still for a formal portrait. His "Off" Switch: Even the most high-voltage pups need a break. When Sprout finally hits 0%, he knows exactly what to do. He heads straight to his kennel—his ultimate safe spot—to power down for his next round of fun. Is Your Family Sprout-Proof? Sprout is looking for a high-energy "pack" that can keep up with his pace. If you love long walks, active play sessions, and a dog that keeps you on your toes, Sprout is your guy!  If so, you can apply for him at www.adoggie4you.org.  He weighs 17.8 pounds and his adoption fee is $400. "I don't need a morning coffee—I am the morning coffee." — Sprout This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be Transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
