Princess is an adorable female black-and-white Mountain Cur/Plott Hound mix born about August 2025. Sweet as can be, crate trained, working on leash and house training. Her black and white markings are lovely. Princess has two cherry eyes which are only cosmetic and do not affect her vision. They can be left as is, or this is an easy fix while getting spayed. She has started puppy health care with vaccinations, de-worming and everything needed. Financial assistance is available when it’s time to spay. Adoption fee 50.  This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina.     Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.November 12, 2025, 10:55 am

Then meet Gizmo — a young, medium-sized sweetheart whose smile could power a small city!  At first, Gizmo might act like he’s auditioning for “The Invisible Pup” — shy, quiet, and politely hanging back. But give him a few minutes, and suddenly he’s all tail wags, happy grins, and “Hey best friend, let’s hang out forever!”.     Gizmo is medium energy, loves a good romp, and absolutely adores other dogs — especially the confident kind who can show him the ropes. Gizmo’s got a submissive personality and would thrive with a furry role model to help him feel secure.     Basically, if dogs were ice cream, Gizmo would be the soft-serve swirl of sweetness and loyalty that makes your heart go mushy.  Apply today and come meet this gentle soul and let that megawatt smile work its magic — because once Gizmo loves you, he’s yours forever. Story
Meet Lady Bell: Lady Bell is about a 9 month old (as of September 13, 2025) mountain cur/lab mix (best guess) with beautiful black markings that weighs about 38 pounds. Lady Bell and her 3 siblings were dumped on a rural highway off Interstate 55 in northeast Arkansas on June 30th. They were covered in ticks and malnourished. A rescuer found out and went to get them and took them to a safe, temporary foster home on July 4th. Lady Bell is currently being fostered in the south with Charlie’s Crusaders and would love to catch the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! Lady Bell is a sweet, independent girl that is also eager to spend time with her humans.  Lady Bell is very curious and is always exploring anything new that is happening around her. Lady Bell loves playing with toys and enjoys running through a play tunnel with her siblings. We believe Lady Bell could really enjoy playing with obstacles or an agility course. Lady Bell gets along well with other dogs. Lady Bell is crate trained and doing well learning how to walk on a leash. Lady Bell is currently using a doggie door to go outside, but is consistent and goes to the door when she needs to go out, so the foster believes house training to another method should go well. We would love for Lady Bell to have a home with a fenced in yard so she can play freely. Lady Bell is up to date on her shots and spayed. Lady Bell is ready for her forever family - is it with you? If you are interested in adding this agile lady into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application.
