Story
Xena, the 6-month-old purebred Mountain Cur, is a great choice for anyone searching for an intelligent and athletic furry friend. She enjoys playing and running around, and is gentle and affectionate towards other dogs. Although she may take some time to warm up to new people, once she does, you will receive an abundance of love and kisses. Xena had a bit of a rough start in life, as she was discovered alone under a building in SC when she was only 10 weeks old. However, she has made tremendous progress since then, and is now spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, housebroken, and heartworm negative. This furry beauty is currently on monthly preventative, ensuring her good health and happiness. If you are considering adopting Xena, it is strongly recommended that you have a fenced backyard, as she loves to run and play. Additionally, Xena would appreciate living with another dog, as she adores all of her foster siblings. Overall, Xena is an intelligent, athletic, and sweet pup that would be an excellent addition to any caring household. To find out more about this gorgeous pup and see if she is the right fit for you, get in touch with her foster family today.

Story
Meet Pongo, an 8-month-old Mountain Cur mix with a sweet, quirky personality that will steal your heart! This handsome pup may be a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly, and once he does, he’s all about snuggles. Pongo has a special trick up his sleeve: when he wants to “hide,” he burrows under the covers and adorably puts his paw over his eyes—convinced you can’t see him if he does that! He’s crate trained, walks like a pro on a leash, and loves playing with dogs of all sizes. Pongo is incredibly smart and eager to learn. If you’re looking for a loving and playful buddy with a dash of goofiness, Pongo could be your perfect match! Story
Current Location: Littlestown, PA Meet Merry Mistletoe 🎄 Merry Mistletoe is a 3-year-old, super sweet, happy-go-lucky girl who truly lives up to her festive name. Weighing around 30–35 lbs, she’s the perfect medium size for just about any family. She loves everyone she meets and is always greeting the world with her signature butt wag. Merry did wonderfully meeting other dogs and people, showing a submissive, easygoing demeanor with other dogs (at least during a small-store outing). With people, she’s incredibly gentle and affectionate. Merry seems to enjoy car rides, walks nicely on leash, does well in her crate, and appears to be housetrained. At home, one of her favorite pastimes is sitting on the back of the sofa, quietly looking out the window and taking in the world. Merry arrived in foster care with her three puppies and has been a devoted mama. Two of her pups are still searching for their forever homes as well. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, and joyful companion who fits right into family life, Merry Mistletoe may be your perfect match. 💕🐾 I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease at https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics
