Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6FPwMardAfI Twister is such a beautiful girl. She found herself pregnant at a small high kill shelter. The stress of being at the shelter made her deliver still born puppies. After grieving the loss, she has now blossomed into a happy, healthy girl who cannot wait to find her forever home. She is great with dogs of all sizes and loves going on group walks with the rest of the gang. She is also great with cats. She will be your best friend. Will you be hers? She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection. Too young for a heartworm test. Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

*Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.*Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what his adult size will be.He is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Pet Express transport services upon adoption. His adoption fee is $450 and includes neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in Kittery, ME because we transport our dogs to Kittery every other week after they have been adopted.
