Asha’s owners loved her, but had a farm and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and made the choice to surrender her. Asha is high energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and to be with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org . This family was found in an abandoned building and with it being winter, was brought to the shelter so they would survive….. and their mama has done a wonderful job with them!! They are a cute mixture of colors and personalities. Their mom is a mountain cur mix and we have no idea on the dad so we aren't sure. of any prey drive. They are a fun group of puppies and are now playing with other puppies just fine. Abel was the runt of this litter. He has the most wonderful fun personality. He likes nothing more than to be held and kiss your face. We aren't thinking he's gonna be even close to his mom's size since he is half the size of his siblings but he may sprout overnight!? He will need the basic puppy training but should do fine in any type home. He is a curious pup so will need an eye kept on him as he's small enough to get into a lot of things. He is a little fighter ready to have his own family. Abel is being fostered in TN but we do transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest. Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Also, if you live out of state we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend.
