Story
Dean is 5 years old and is a very sweet dog. He loves cuddling with people. He was my son's dog who moved and couldn't keep him. We have a dog of our own and the cost to maintain 2 dogs has just become too much. Dean has been around a variety of people and has done very well. He might be excited at first but settles down quickly. He walks well on a leash and would benefit from a secure fenced in yard where he can explore.

This sweet girl was rescued after roaming as a stray and has quickly charmed everyone she meets with her gentle and affectionate nature. Bertha absolutely adores people and thrives on attention and companionship. She’s great with other dogs, making her an excellent playmate for furry siblings, and she’s also wonderful with kids, making her a perfect fit for a family. Her playful energy is balanced by her sweet and loving demeanor, making her the kind of dog who’s just as happy to chase a ball as she is to cuddle up for snuggles. Story
Meet Bella, a sweet 9-month-old, 28-pound, hound mix with soulful eyes and a gentle spirit. With her soft nature and quiet charm, Bella is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds once she feels safe and loved. She came into rescue after her previous owner could no longer care for her, and she is now looking for a fresh start with a patient, compassionate family. Bella has a short tan coat with soft white accents, and her deep brown eyes make her instantly endearing. Weighing around 30 pounds, she still has some growing ahead of her and will likely remain a wonderful medium sized dog of anywhere between 30 and 60 pounds. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is good with children. She has not had the chance to meet cats yet, so her feelings about them remain a mystery. As a young dog, Bella is still learning the basics. She is practicing her leash walking, and she approaches the task with a willing spirit. She has aced her skills of house training and crate training. Although Bella is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. With steady guidance and a calm environment, she will continue to gain confidence and flourish. If Bella sounds like the companion, you have been searching for, apply today and help her discover what it feels like to be truly home.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Bella is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.June 6, 2026, 7:56 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Flick is a great puppy, he has a great temperament and pretty easy going. He is a playful pup, he loves toys, playing with other pups and dogs and is great with children. Flick is a little over 6 months and weighs around 30 lbs, so he should be a bigger medium sized dog as an adult. Flick stays in a busy foster home with other puppies, adult dogs and children, and he has done well. He will chase a cat, so his new home should be cat free. If you are looking for an active, medium sized buddy, Flick is sure to be a great addition to most homes. He would do best in a home with a yard for him to explore, he is still learning leash training, but he's a smart cookie and should pick it up with a little help. Flick has been neutered, vaccinated and is on monthly flea/heartworm prevention.
