Available for Adoption: 1/9/2025- Applications need to be approved before a meet and greet will be set up for any Fetching Hearts Rescue dogs. 🐾 Meet Lox — A Quiet Heart Searching for Safety and Love 🐾 Lox’s story begins in Mississippi, where she was found lost and abandoned alongside her mother and sister. Three scared girls huddled together, unsure of the world around them, surviving only because they had each other. Life hasn’t been kind to Lox, and you can see the softness in her eyes — the kind that comes from a pup who’s known fear far too early. But even with her past, Lox’s spirit is gentle and hopeful. She’s shy at first, the kind of girl who watches from a safe corner until she knows she can trust you. And once she does, she gives her heart quietly, fully, and forever. Her love is tender, devoted, and deeply sincere. Lox adores other dogs and would thrive with a confident canine friend to show her that the world can be kind. She would do best in a calm home with older children who move gently and understand that trust takes time. A fenced yard is important for her — a safe space where she can explore without fear and feel protected from anything that might overwhelm her. This sweet girl has so much love to give, but she needs a family willing to offer patience, encouragement, and lots of TLC. She’s not the dog who will rush into your arms on day one — she’s the dog who will slowly, beautifully bloom for the person who shows her she’s finally safe. ✨ If you can offer time, love, and a soft place for her heart to heal, Lox is waiting. Apply today to give this precious girl the forever home she’s been hoping for. If interested in Lox, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com. Story
Meet Hewitt! Hewitt is a handsome, sweet-natured puppy with a wonderful balance of playful energy and calm companionship. He is confident, curious, and always eager to explore his surroundings, especially when toys are involved. Hewitt enjoys playing with other dogs and happily entertains himself, but he truly shines when spending one-on-one time with his people. While he loves his toys, Hewitt will gladly set them aside for affection, cuddles, and quality bonding time. He has that perfect puppy charm—fun-loving and energetic, yet content to relax and enjoy quieter moments with his person. Now a water hose will keep his attention for awhile :) He loves other dogs large and small too! Hewitt is doing incredibly well with potty training and is nearly fully trained, making his transition into a forever home even smoother. He is ready to give his whole heart to a loving family or individual who will continue to help him grow and thrive. If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate companion with a big heart and a bright future, Hewitt may be the perfect addition to your family. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
She is friendly and gentle. She will need time to adjust to new expectations. She has never been in a house. She has only lived in a kennel, instead of doing the hunting she would rather run in the woods and play, so she needs to be a pet. She is sweet but timid and would love to have a family to love and play with. We do transport with Rescue Riders Pet Transport. One of the most animal friendly transports on the road. We transport every weekend alternating between the Midwest and the Northeast to a destination near you. Please click the "Ask about me" button on her profile to get an application.

Story
Meet Bruno, a handsome young neutered male mixed breed doggo! Recent DNA shows 29% Plott hound, 12% Chihuahua (), and several other breeds at smaller percentages. He is 50% hound breeds - full DNA results available on request. He is approximately 1 year old and weighs about 37 lbs - the perfect size!  Pictures really don't do this guy justice, he's got the most beautiful brindle coat and the BEST ears! He also has the cutest little nub of a tail that wiggles a mile a minute when he is happy (which is often!)   Bruno is a friendly, energetic boy who gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids (we recommend older kids 8+ as he is an exuberant young guy and may unintentionally knock over a small child). He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Bruno can do a 1 week foster to adopt trial with an approved adopter so you can see how he settles in before committing to adoption. Bruno is smart and food motivated, he has been taking training classes to work on manners and impulse control, and he has been doing GREAT! The ideal home for Bruno is one where he will get plenty of mental and/or physical stimulation to set him up for success. He would also LOVE a fenced in yard of his own and maybe another playful pup in the home to keep him company! From Bruno's current foster:  "Bruno came to Connecticut early September, thought to be an older puppy or young adult. Happily, absolutely no aggression, but lots of energy. Fast forward three months, and he is a great dog, LOVES training and has great focus! He is very food motivated.  He enjoys our fenced yard and chew bones, and loves his weekly training sessions, where he has mastered look, touch, sit, down, wait and leave it.  I know he can be your forever companion as long as he has an active life or daily job. Maybe agility? Hiking? With more training, maybe a service dog or companion dog? Bruno is not a great match for someone working away from home 8 hrs/day, a first time dog owner who wants “an easy pet” or a family with small members as he is exuberant." Bruno is medically up to date, 95% housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this special boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2509434##
