Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Ben is with our rescue partner down south and can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter for him. Meet Ben    Sweet, gentle, and full of love — Ben is great with kids, plays nicely with other dogs, and is okay with cats (he may chase if they run).  from his foster in LA....I fostered Ben for six months, and he was so easy to love — gentle, affectionate, and great with children. He listens well and just wants to be part of the family. If he’s bored, he’ll dig for fun, so chew toys and bones help keep him happy. Ben became best friends with another foster, Rocky — they play beautifully together and would love a home as a pair, if possible, or another dog.  Ben’s ready to be someone’s loyal, loving companion. Could that be you?  Ben is up to date on vaccines and treatment. He is already fixed and his  adoption donation is $500.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 25, 2026, 2:23 pm

Story
Puppuccino is also a social butterfly, so sweet that she will fly right into your heart! Puppuccino is about 3 years old and weighs 60 lbs. Puppuccino loves everyone she meets, big and small! She has incredible leash manners and according to her foster, "walks like a dream". Puppuccino is an athletic gal and enjoys zoomies around a yard. Ladybug is super affectionate, nuzzling her nose into your neck and fall asleep. Her foster says "she makes you smile and fills your heart with joy!" Ladybug is super smart and quickly learning her manners. Poor Ladybug was found as a stray in the big city, and taken to the over crowded shelter. She was terrified at the shelter, and that fear led her to be at risk for euthanasia. Thankfully, a loving foster stepped up to give this precious soul her second chance at life. Now, Puppuccino gets to enjoy learning how to be a dog while she waits for her forever home! Ladybug enjoys the company of select male dogs, but has not done well with female dogs or cats. She would do best as your one and only pet, but she sure is ready to soak up all that love! She adores children and is very respectful and shows great manners around small children. Puppuccino is fully vetted, spayed, micro chipped, and ready to go home with YOU! If you can open your heart & home to dear Puppuccino, please contact AmsterDog by call/text at 917-689-8414 or by email at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt Puppuccino at AmsterDog.org. Thanks for caring about a pet in need! Come meet Puppuccino, she is a gem of a girl, just waiting to shine for her new family! Ladybug is currently being fostered in East Stroudsburg, PA

Story
Lionel is a handsome 1-year-old, 50-pound mixed-breed boy who’s ready to find his forever family! This beautiful pup has long legs, a slender build, and striking good looks—but his foster family will tell you that pictures simply don’t do him justice. When Lionel first came into foster care, he was a shy and nervous young dog, but he has made incredible progress and continues to gain confidence every day. With patience, encouragement, and a loving environment, he’s truly beginning to come out of his shell. He’s doing great with leash walking and is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.Lionel is potty trained, has a gentle and loving heart, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, who help boost his confidence. He’s also fantastic with cats and doesn’t bother them at all, making him an excellent addition to a multi-pet home. Lionel is good with kids as well and enjoys being part of a family. He absolutely loves to play and cuddle with other dogs.Because he’s still building confidence, Lionel would thrive with an adopter who understands that some dogs need a little extra time and reassurance to blossom. A securely fenced yard would be ideal for him as he continues to grow and gain confidence. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion and are willing to give this deserving boy the love and guidance he needs, Lionel may be the perfect match for you! Story
Meet Oscar! Oscar is a 4-year-old Boxer/Mountain Cur mix with a shiny black-and-tan coat and bright, expressive eyes that seem to smile when he’s happy. Medium-sized at about 53 pounds, he’s an athletic and affectionate companion who loves to be outside, explore new scents, and play in the leaves. Oscar is smart, eager to please, and bonds deeply with his people. He thrives on routine, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement. Once he trusts you, he’s incredibly loyal and will happily curl up near you after a good walk or play session. Oscar has been working with a veterinary behaviorist for anxiety and fear-based behaviors. He does best in a calm, structured home without children, where his boundaries can be respected and he can feel secure. He’s currently on a behavior-support plan (including medication and training) that has helped him relax and enjoy life more. His ideal adopter will be someone experienced with dogs who have anxiety or fear issues, and who can continue his care with patience and consistency. In the right home, Oscar will reward that patience with love, devotion, and plenty of happy tail wags. If you’re interested in giving Oscar the calm, understanding home he deserves, please reach out to Jeremy at oscar_email@icloud.com to learn more about this sweet boy and the next steps. Oscar’s owners are committed to finding him the right home and are willing to travel a significant distance to help ensure a successful placement. If you’re interested but not local, please send them an email.
