Story
Declan is estimated to be 4 months old and a lab mix. We do not know who his parents were so these are guesses based off experience and does not guarantee the breed. Declan came to Gigis at just roughly 5 weeks old. He did go to a foster to adopt home but they have changed their minds and he is back with Gigis, looking for his perfect forever. Declan is a smart fully vetted and neutered male. He loves to stay busy. If interested in meeting Declan, see below for application. https://airtable.com/appcqQGnAUlgNcf92/shruX8uIalTUTpdg4

Story
** Meet Gavin: Distinguished Gentleman Seeks Forever Staff ** Hello, kind human. My name is Gavin, and I’m a 9½-year-old dreamboat with a dashing brindle coat, a sophisticated gray muzzle, and the wisdom of a dog who knows exactly when it’s time to nap, play, or strut his stuff like he owns the block. Weighing in at a fit 70 lbs. of pure love and class, I’m what the experts call a "good boy"—but I prefer the term exceptional gentleman. I’ve got excellent manners, stellar recall, and I don’t believe in chewing your furniture when you leave. I’m far too refined for that sort of nonsense. I adore kids 10 and up, other dogs, cats, and anyone who tells me I’m handsome (which is everyone, obviously). I love to prance like I'm auditioning for a canine Broadway show, and I’m rarely seen without my favorite slipper in my mouth—I’m not chewing it, just respectfully carrying it like the treasured artifact it is. Leash walks? I glide. Playtime? Let’s go! Couch snuggles? You had me at hello. Whether you’re looking for a loyal hiking buddy or a cuddle connoisseur, I’m your guy. I’m cool being left alone (but don’t be gone too long—I will miss you), and I just want to be near my people. I may be a little seasoned, but I’ve got plenty of spunk and sweetness left to give. Adopt me, and together we’ll make the neighbors jealous. Swipe right on Gavin today. Your slipper may never be lonely again. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/adopt/adoption-application/ then email Debbie@BigFluffyDogs.com Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process. NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION. WE REGRET WE CANNOT RESPOND TO EVERY EMAIL, BUT UNLESS YOU FILL OUT AN APPLICATION, WE DO NOT KNOW YOU EXIST. All known information about an individual dog is provided in its listing. We do our best to provide accurate information, but adopters should understand that each home is different and the dog may behave differently in a new home. Dogs are creatures of their environment and you help make the dog what it will be. Homes considering adopting a puppy must be prepared for 1.) Flexible schedules for potty training. Puppies can only hold it for one hour per month of age (i.e. a 4-month-old puppy can only go 4 hours without a potty break). 2.) Crate training until the puppy is at least one year old to prevent chewing on inappropriate things when you can't supervise. 3.) Socialization. The more positive and varying experiences as a puppy the better, both in and out of your home. 4.) Puppy behavior and life stages are equivalent to a human toddler. It takes at least a full year to have a calmer, well-adjusted dog. Patience is required and when your dog's behavior is a positive experience for you and those around you, your patience will be rewarded ten-fold, for years to come. Please do not consider adopting a puppy if you have not thoroughly thought through the pros and cons of having one. So many people end up returning them after 3-5 months because they didn't realize the amount of work involved in raising a puppy. Patience, appropriate toys, socialization, and obedience training are all musts. All are time-consuming and can be expensive. All dogs require supervision with children and obedience training. Adopters that want to have good dogs must be prepared to put the time and effort into training a dog. Any dog requires work and effort, but a well trained, well-socialized dog is more than worth the effort to get them there.

Story
Meet Wisteria – The Sweetheart with the Sunset Coat!    With her rich, red coat and eyes full of kindness, Wisteria is more than just a pretty face—she’s a joyful, loyal, ball-chasing bundle of love looking for her forever family.    At just 5 months old and around 26 pounds, Wisteria is a Mountain Cur mix who was found with her two siblings on a quiet country road in rural Middle Tennessee. Despite her rough start, she’s blossomed into a confident, playful pup with so much love to give.    Wisteria is always the first to the party—especially if that party includes a game of fetch or a backyard full of kids! She’d thrive in a home with young, active children who want a best friend to grow up with. Her energy is happy and contagious, and she loves to be included in whatever fun the day brings.   She’ll likely grow into a 65–70 lb graceful girl, with the classic Cur traits of being intelligent, loyal, and watchful. While not a guard dog, she’ll make sure your home feels safe—just enough bark to keep things in check, and plenty of love to make everyone feel welcome.   Wisteria is doing great with crate and house training, thanks to a foster family full of caring humans (and kids!) who have helped her start life on the right paw.  Ready to fall in love? Because Wisteria already loves you.   Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to request an adoption application. Let’s give this beautiful girl the fresh start she deserves and the family she’s been waiting for.    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.June 30, 2025, 8:57 pm

Story
Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please!  This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families.  Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way.  She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance.  This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt.  Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL?  Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog.  Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash.  When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.  This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT?  If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies.  This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away.   Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies.  All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too!  She deserves a remarkable future and life because she will provide the amazing dog companion to someone that can ever be imagined.  Forget the wrapper on the package and consider the heart please…You won’t regret living a life with Oakley. Story
Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce  your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention.  This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up.  The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time loving on him and polishing his dog manners.  He is the sweetest boy and so calm and nice when meeting and greeting new people and other dogs.  He was born around the end of September in 2023 and so he is growing up fast and in to a fine dog that would love to be your sidekick in life.  He is not going to be over 38 pounds and is almost there now.  He is a Mountain Cur mix and has a slim and  sleek build and has mellowed into a wonderful pre-adult dog. Razzle Tax is super smart and curious and sensitive to your mood and expectations of him. He is a dog that you could 'do' things with.  He could do any flyball or agility classes or other training that you would want to put him through. He is a sponge for doing things and pleasing you.  He is very small actually and would work well with an active family or person even in an apartment as long as he gets his daily exercise.  He needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a home with a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person. He is friendly with everyone and good with dogs and could use another one in the home as a steady and confident example for him.  He is also good with children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world.  If your are interested in this Mountain Cur mix pup please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Wanda – Queen of the Zoomies & Ruler of Hearts!  Looking for a pup who’s equal parts comedian, cuddle bug, and confident leader? Meet Wanda, a 5-month-old Mountain Cur mix who was found with her siblings in the rural backroads of Middle Tennessee—no humans in sight, just wagging tails and hopeful hearts. At 25 lbs and growing fast (she’ll likely be around 70 lbs when full-grown), Wanda is well on her way to becoming a gorgeous big girl with a low-shedding, light tan coat and paws that promise epic adventures ahead.  But let’s talk personality—because Wanda has plenty of it!She’s the Queen of Zoomies, zipping around the yard with total joy and cracking up everyone who watches. After the fun? She’s perfectly content to crash at your feet, wagging her tail and soaking up your love.  Confident and clever, Wanda is the natural leader of her sibling trio. She’s always the first to figure things out and is brave enough to try anything new. She’s great with kids and other pets, even the grumpy ones who just don’t appreciate her puppy energy. Wanda’s philosophy? “More love, less drama.” If you're ready for a life filled with laughs, snuggles, and a little bit of adorable mischief, Wanda is your girl. She’s smart, affectionate, and 100% ready for her forever home.  Reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to request an adoption application.
