Story
Declan is estimated to be 4 months old and a lab mix. We do not know who his parents were so these are guesses based off experience and does not guarantee the breed. Declan came to Gigis at just roughly 5 weeks old. He did go to a foster to adopt home but they have changed their minds and he is back with Gigis, looking for his perfect forever. Declan is a smart fully vetted and neutered male. He loves to stay busy. If interested in meeting Declan, see below for application. https://airtable.com/appcqQGnAUlgNcf92/shruX8uIalTUTpdg4

Story
Meet Topaz, a shining little gem with a heart as vibrant and glittery as her name! Topaz’s story is one of incredible resilience and growth. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was struggling with a painful skin infection and was completely shut down, unsure how to trust the world around her. Day by day, with gentle care and patience from our team and her foster families, Topaz began to heal, not just physically, but emotionally too. Today, Topaz is almost unrecognizable from the dog she once was. Her coat is healthy and glowing, and her spirit has blossomed into something truly special. In her foster home, she’s shown just how far she’s come; she adores people, greeting them with happy tail wags, and she eagerly accepts all the attention she can get. She also has been quickly learning commands like sit, paw, wait, and come (especially when treats are involved)! Topaz craves affection, lights up with baby talk, and is ready to bring her sweet, loving energy into a forever home. She would thrive with a family who will continue to nurture her confidence, celebrate her intelligence, and include her in daily life. In return, Topaz promises endless loyalty, companionship, and a heart full of love for the people lucky enough to call her their own.

Story
Meet Arch – a rare little puppy who seems to have been born knowing how to be the perfect companion. Every once in a while a puppy comes along that makes everyone stop and wonder how he got to be so wonderful without much training or attention early in life. Arch is exactly that kind of puppy. From the moment he arrived in foster care, he has impressed everyone with his sweet nature, intelligence, and easygoing personality. Arch was born around December 8 and is a handsome brindle boy believed to be a Mountain Cur mix. At just three months old he weighs about 11 pounds, and we expect him to grow into a 35–40 pound adult depending on which side of the family tree shows up the most. One of the first things you’ll notice about Arch is his incredibly soft coat. His velvety fur makes you want to stroke his head and run your hand all the way down his back. And his personality is just as lovable as his looks. When he gets excited to see you, he hops around like a little bunny, full of joy and enthusiasm. Arch is a very people-oriented puppy. Rather than running off exploring on his own, he prefers to stay close and simply follow his people around the yard. Call his name and he comes running—his recall is already excellent and he seems to know his name right away. He’s a bright little guy who is eager to learn and connect with his humans. In his foster home, Arch lives with dogs of all sizes. He happily runs around with the big dogs and doesn’t mind the older, more serious little ladies who sometimes find his playful energy a bit much. His feelings never seem to get hurt—he just keeps bouncing along enjoying life. Like any young puppy, Arch is learning new things every day. He is currently figuring out how to walk on a leash and wear a collar for the first time. He is also working on house training and is learning both pee pads and outdoor potty breaks. He sleeps well in his crate and can usually make it almost all night. Arch is curious, alert, and full of personality. One of his favorite things is burrowing under blankets on the couch or in bed. He also has a funny little habit of collecting his foster mom’s bedroom shoes and proudly gathering them into his dog bed like treasured toys. This boy loves his meals and is always interested in whatever his humans are eating too, which will make food a great motivator for training. If you are looking for a loving, intelligent puppy who will grow into a loyal companion, Arch may be your once-in-a-lifetime dog. He has the personality, the brains, and the heart to become an incredible family member. Arch will be ready for adoption around March 20. He will be neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed before going home. Critter Cavalry Rescue adopts to Tennessee residents and can also transport to many northeastern states using a licensed animal transport service. If you would like to give this special boy a forever home, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com Please include your city and state when inquiring.     ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Jessie 🐾💛Jessie is a 1-year-old Mountain Cur mix who weighs 35 pounds and is full of love and playful energy. She was owner released, and while her previous owners shared limited information, they mentioned that she did not do well with other dogs. However, Jessie is currently doing fine with her kennel mate, showing she may do well with the right introductions and supervision. This sweet girl is very loving and has a playful personality—she wants to play all the time! Jessie would thrive in a home with a big backyard where she can run, explore, and burn off her energy. At this time, we don’t know how Jessie does with cats or kids, and she is not good with goats, so a farm setting would not be ideal for her. We also don’t yet know if she is house or crate trained, but with consistency and patience, she has great potential to learn.Jessie is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to find a home that will give her the love, activity, and attention she deserves. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion, Jessie might be the perfect fit for you! 🐶✨Jessie's Adoption Fee is $108 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Story
Meet Aura! Aura is an absolutely stunning and affectionate pooch, a delightful mix of Mountain Cur and Pit Bull. She was born around April 1, 2024, and has already captivated the hearts of many. Aura joined us in January, and upon her arrival, she faced some challenges; she was extremely fearful of men. However, with the dedicated time and effort from our loving staff, Aura has made tremendous strides in overcoming her fears and is now ready to embark on a new chapter of her life as she searches for her forever home.  This beautiful girl adores soaking up the sun, often found lounging in warm patches of light where she feels serene and content. Aura thrives on cuddles and loves to be close to her human companions, seeking out affection and warmth. Besides her love for snuggles, she has a playful side too—she enjoys her toys, whether it's a squeaky one or a tug-of-war rope, and she can often be seen happily engaging with them. Moreover, she has a particular fondness for going on walks and exploring her surroundings. These outings not only give her a chance to stretch her legs and exercise but also offer her the opportunity to gather her courage in new environments. While Aura has made significant progress, it's important to note that she can still be a bit nervous around men. She may require several meetings to build trust and feel comfortable before she is ready to transition into a new home. Patience and understanding will be key in helping her adjust.   Aura would thrive best in a home as the only pet, as she truly enjoys having all the attention directed toward her. She is particularly good with children aged 10 and older, as she appreciates kids who understand the importance of granting her personal space when needed.  If you find yourself intrigued by Aura and believe you can provide the loving, supportive environment she needs to flourish, we encourage you to reach out. Please call us at 615-446-7387 for more information, or better yet, come by and meet this wonderful girl in person! Your new best friend might just be waiting for you to take her home! ##2285526##
