Shawn was adopted this past summer, but was recently returned due to his owners going through a divorce and being unable to keep him in their new living situation. Through no fault of his own, he is once again looking for a loving home. Now about 6 months old, Shawn is a super cute, happy, and friendly Mountain Cur mix who gets along with everyone he meets. He’s social, affectionate, and loves being part of the action — whether that’s playing with toys, exploring his surroundings, or soaking up attention from his people. He has an easygoing, joyful personality and brings plenty of tail wags and smiles wherever he goes. Shawn has already experienced life in a home and understands the basics of being a family dog, but like any young dog, he will benefit from continued training and consistency. He’s eager to learn and would thrive with a family willing to help him continue growing into a well-mannered companion. Age: About 6 months old Gender: Male Breed: Mountain Cur mix Neutered: Not yet Potty Trained: In progress Crate Trained: In progress Leash Manners: Still learning Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Yes Good with Kids: Yes – friendly and social Though his first adoption didn’t last, Shawn hasn’t let it dampen his spirit. He is now settling beautifully into his foster home. Alfie’s story is one of survival and second chances. This 3–4-year-old boxer mix was found as a stray and ended up in a kill shelter in Arkansas. Now that he has finished his treatment, Alfie is ready to head north and begin the life he has always deserved. We do not know what happened to him before he was rescued, but he does have an old injury to his right eye and the side of his head. It does not seem to bother him at all, and he remains an A+ good boy through and through. Alfie is gentle, sweet, affectionate, and easygoing. He is good with dogs, cats, and kids, which makes him a wonderful fit for many types of homes. He is potty trained, crate trained, and weighs about 30 pounds. Story
Hi! I'm Calypso - a sweet, playful, smart, and cuddly girl just waiting for my forever home! I can't catch a break sometimes. I was originally surrendered because I didn't get along with other dogs, then I battled through heartworm treatment like a champ, got adopted, and was returned a year later because my owner didn't have enough time for me. I know, it's been tough - but I'm still full of love and ready to give my happily ever after a try! I do great with kids of all ages, and I've made huge strides with my reactivity to other dogs. In fact, we think that maybe, just maybe, if it's the right dog, I could even share my home with a furry friend in the future. I love being outside, exploring, and going on car rides, and I have so much love to give. I just need someone to take a chance on me. Once I have a family to call my own, I promise to be playful, cuddly, loyal, and endlessly affectionate - a true best friend in every way! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 47.6 Age: 4yrs 7mths 4wks

Adopt a Pet from Mutt Life! Looking to add a furry friend to your family? At Mutt Life Rescue of Wisconsin, we have loving pets waiting for their forever homes. Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org Meet Hamilton Hamilton’s story is one of second chances and resilience. This nearly 2-year-old Pointer mix originally came up from a Georgia shelter in February and was adopted right away. Unfortunately, due to unexpected health challenges in his previous home, his family was no longer able to meet his needs and he is now looking for a new forever family. During that time, Hamilton had occasional challenges with the other dogs in the home, which we believe were related to resource guarding his favorite person. With everything going on with his adopter's health issues, it became too much for them to manage and clear that Hamilton would do best in a home where he doesn’t have to share his people. He is now doing very well in a foster home with Mutt Life Dog Rescue in Wisconsin with no other dogs. To set up Hamilton for success, we recommend Hamilton be the only dog in his future home. Despite the changes he’s experienced, Hamilton is a loving, friendly, and affectionate dog who truly enjoys being with people. He is wonderful with all people and is described by his foster as a big sweetheart and an enthusiastic cuddler. Hamilton is potty trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on leash, making him an easy companion. He enjoys his walks, settles well at home, and loves relaxing with his humans. He is what we call a “low rider” with short legs that add even more to his cuteness. He is a goofy and playful guy who loves attention and is looking for a second chance. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, and he’s now ready to find his forever home. Age: Almost 2 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Weight: 50lbs Breed: Pointer Mix Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Would do best as an only dog Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Yes Hamilton has so much love to give and is looking for a calm, committed home where he can be someone’s special companion.
