For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Meet Alfie Alfie is currently in Arkansas and must have a foster or adopter lined up by Saturday, December 6th to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, he will not be able to make the trip. Alfie’s story is one of survival and second chances. This 3–4-year-old boxer mix was found as a stray and ended up in a kill shelter in Arkansas. He was saved in the nick of time before euthanasia and has been living in a foster home since August while completing heartworm treatment. Now that he has finished his treatment, Alfie is ready to head north and begin the life he has always deserved. We do not know what happened to him before he was rescued, but he does have an old injury to his right eye and the side of his head. It does not seem to bother him at all, and he remains an A+ good boy through and through. Alfie is gentle, sweet, affectionate, and easygoing. He is good with dogs, cats, and kids, which makes him a wonderful fit for many types of homes. He is potty trained, crate trained, and weighs about 30 pounds. Alfie’s Info Age: 3–4 years Gender: Male Weight: 30 lbs Breed: Mountain Curr mix (best guess) Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Working on it Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Yes Good with Kids: Yes Alfie has already shown incredible courage and heart. Story
Hi! I’m Calypso — a sweet, playful, smart, and cuddly girl just waiting for my forever home! I can’t catch a break sometimes. I was originally surrendered because I didn’t get along with other dogs, then I battled through heartworm treatment like a champ, got adopted, and was returned a year later because my owner didn’t have enough time for me. I know, it’s been tough — but I’m still full of love and ready to give my happily ever after a try! I do great with kids of all ages, and I’ve made huge strides with my reactivity to other dogs. In fact, we think that maybe, just maybe, if it’s the right dog, I could even share my home with a furry friend in the future. I love being outside, exploring, and going on car rides, and I have so much love to give. I just need someone to take a chance on me. Once I have a family to call my own, I promise to be playful, cuddly, loyal, and endlessly affectionate — a true best friend in every way! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 47.6 Age: 4yrs 5mths 3wks

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6FPwMardAfI Twister is such a beautiful girl. She found herself pregnant at a small high kill shelter. The stress of being at the shelter made her deliver still born puppies. After grieving the loss, she has now blossomed into a happy, healthy girl who cannot wait to find her forever home. She is great with dogs of all sizes and loves going on group walks with the rest of the gang. She is also great with cats. She will be your best friend. Will you be hers? She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection.
