Meet Alfie
Alfie is currently in Arkansas and must have a foster or adopter lined up by Saturday, December 6th to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, he will not be able to make the trip.
Alfie’s story is one of survival and second chances. This 3–4-year-old boxer mix was found as a stray and ended up in a kill shelter in Arkansas. He was saved in the nick of time before euthanasia and has been living in a foster home since August while completing heartworm treatment.
Now that he has finished his treatment, Alfie is ready to head north and begin the life he has always deserved.
We do not know what happened to him before he was rescued, but he does have an old injury to his right eye and the side of his head. It does not seem to bother him at all, and he remains an A+ good boy through and through.
Alfie is gentle, sweet, affectionate, and easygoing. He is good with dogs, cats, and kids, which makes him a wonderful fit for many types of homes. He is potty trained, crate trained, and weighs about 30 pounds.
