Story

I acquired Joey through azhumane as we were looking for a dog that would be a great match at the time he was as he is super calm but super shy, as time went on my job was asking more of me and unfortunately I started having less time for him. I would like to find him an owner who is super patient as he has an issue with opening up when we adopted him we had learned that he had never had any human interaction only with dogs but he’s been around dogs and kittens and has gotten along with both rather easy. He just always has a look of fear on his face and is just needing a gentle and loving home that has the time to give him to learn that everything will be ok.

Story

We have had Simba since he is a puppy and he is doggy door trained. He would be best suited as a one dog household or with medium to bigger dogs to play with. We have had some behavioral issues with Simba biting our little Chihuahua and cat. And being 90% Chihuahua he likes to nip at new guests in our house. Once he gets to know them he is fine but as a household of 5 with 3 boys we have new people coming in/out daily and it's too much risk. He is a great companion and wants to be a lap dog if he could. This is a very hard decision for our family so we hope to find a good home for him.

Details

Story

Angel is a spayed female German Shepherd mix who turns 4 on October 23. She is loving, energetic, playful, protective, and extremely cuddly with people and dogs she trusts. She is house-trained, vaccinated, has no known medical issues, and knows commands in English, German, and some Japanese. Angel loves car rides, adventures, affection, and toys—especially Lamb Chop and large squeaky KONG tennis balls. She is expressive: when excited, she dances and clacks her teeth, finds you when she needs something, goes to the door when she needs out, and loves to “talk.” Angel has made canine friends and can do well with other dogs, but has also had incidents involving other dogs. Given that history and her high energy, she would be best as an only dog or potentially with a calm, patient dog after careful introductions. She is temporarily staying with family and needs a permanent home or foster by October 7. We are seeking a safe, loving home with activity, affection, and structure.

Story

Meet Rue: a brilliant, deeply cuddly girl ready to find her safe haven. Found abandoned as a tiny pup, Rue has blossomed through dedicated love, learning tricks like "shake" at just six weeks old. She is house-trained, crate-trained, cat-friendly, and very smart. When she needs to go outside, she won't bark—she’ll fetch you with the most adorable hopping zoomies! Once comfortable, she loves to play, go for walks, and snooze by your desk like a happy little potato. Because of her early trauma, Rue experiences significant anxiety and needs a quiet, calm home with a gentle, patient person. Loud voices, sudden changes, unfamiliar dogs, and car rides are very scary for her; she requires soft encouragement, never harsh corrections. She tends to trust women faster than men and is currently supported by anti-anxiety medication. With time, patience, and reassurance, Rue will reward you with unwavering loyalty and sweetness. Could you be the peaceful world she deserves?
