Story
We received Mouse as a puppy from a friend in 2021. She is an albino pit mix, maybe a little dalmation in there. She is a nanny dog to children. Loves to play. Still likes to chew on toys and squeakers. She prefers to sleep with the kids, but if a door is left open, she might have an accident in the house overnight. Whines if you try to crate her.

Story
Star is the sole puppy of a street dog that wandered into our cul-de-sac in 2024. The mother looked mostly like a black lab, but the puppy is smaller and less black. At 2 years old, she is still full of energy and loves to play with toys. She especially likes flat acorn-shaped plush toys. She is crate trained.

Story
Jack loves people. He fetches, he enjoys walks but needs leash training, he will be attached to your hip if you let him. He gets some separation anxiety, our dad didn't leave the house for longer than a few hours at a time and Jack got very used to having him around all the time. He has learned to listen when you tell him not to jump, but he begs for food if you eat near him. He was very enthusiastic about meeting a 6-year-old child, but a little too excitable to be unsupervised with him.He liked our dad's other dog of a similar size, but she was older and he had too much puppy energy for her. He has not been around other smaller dogs, he should not be kept with cats. He'll play tug of war until your arms are tired, he likes it when you let him win so he can do a victory lap around the yard with the toy. He's only about 4 and very teachable, but he's used to a very permissive owner who let him sleep in the bed and jump on him, and he's grieving the loss of his person.

Story
We are heartbroken, but know that finding our sweet Lebowski a new home will be the best thing for him. He’s great with kids of all ages and cats, never been around other dogs. He needs someone who can match his high level of energy, lease train him, and take him for walks and/or someone with a large yard. He’s been with us for 9 years, since he was 8 weeks old. No food aggression, but he does jump from excitement when we come home.

Story
Meet Smoothie! Born around October 10, 2025, Smoothie is a sweet, sensitive young dog looking for a patient forever home. Smoothie was picked up as a stray at about 5 months old and came to PACC with very little early socialization. Since then, she has made wonderful progress learning to trust people and enjoy life as a beloved pet. She is a low-to-medium energy dog who enjoys walks, naps, stuffed toys, and being near her people. Smoothie is mostly house-trained, crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Smoothie was adopted in May but returned to her foster home after three weeks when it became clear she struggled being left alone without other dogs. Back with her canine companions, she is happy, relaxed, and shows no signs of separation anxiety. Smoothie must have a securely fenced yard and at least one friendly resident dog. She needs patient adopters who will allow her to build confidence at her own pace.
