Story
Dexter is a deeply loved 8-year-old Chihuahua, Dachshund, and German Shepherd mix. I brought him home as a tiny puppy, and he has been part of my family ever since. He is intelligent, affectionate, loyal, and emotionally aware. Dexter loves cuddling, movie nights, sleeping under a blanket, twice-daily walks, and treats like blueberries, green beans, and carrots. He enjoys chasing birds and may be open to more adventures. This is a heartbreaking decision, but my life changed unexpectedly when I took in my 10-month-old grandchild. I am hoping to find Dexter a calm, stable, loving home where he will be safe, happy, and truly cherished. Dexter is not adjusting well to having a mobile baby in the home and would do best in a calm home without small children.

Meet Kernel (aka Max), your soon-to-be best buddy! Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out. Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session. I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice! Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute. Javy is 8 years old and has been such a loyal dog to us. We got him as a puppy at 6 weeks old and he is such a lover! Unfortunately over the years he has become anxious with our young children and recently he has began showing some aggressive behaviors towards our 1 year old. We are heartbroken to have to rehome him and are hopeful we can find an owner with no kids or older children. Thank you!

Spayed-Vaccinated-Microchipped-Dewormed-Crate Trained- Knows how to use a dog door My name is Aspen! My foster mom is Sasha (she's up for adoption too!) My real mom and dad passed away before help arrived. I came into rescue from a hoarding case out of Whittmann Arizona. I was pretty young, 3 weeks old at most, but super thankful my foster mom took me on! I am super sweet and loving! I am familiar with a kennel and have been working on kennel training since mid-January. I would do good with another dog in the home to help guide me and so I don't feel lonely. I do know how to use a dog door and I am about 90% potty trained, but I do need reminders sometimes, and I am kenneled at night with my bedtime routine. I love toys and chew toys are helping with my new teeth coming in. I am a little timid at first, but warming up fast. **COOL COLLETTE** Age 8 Phoenix AZ. Meet Collette. This sweet mama was rescued from a hording situation with one of her pups. Her pup has been adopted and now its her turn. She came to us with VF December 2024. She has been getting so much love and meds and she has turned a healthy corner and is now looking for her fur-ever happy ending! She is a petite little gem weighing in at about 10lbs. She is so loving with her foster is now playing with toys....we are guessing she never had any of her own before....she loves to sunbathe and is big and small dog friendly. She is shy at first and needs a family that will give her time to feel safe....and she will warm up and be so loving.
