Story
Tex is a very sweet boy who loves people. He always loved our other dog till recently and we think he just needs to be in a solo home. He’s a very playful dog that loves to cuddle and give kisses. He is a 11 month old pit-bull German shepherd mix. He’s pretty full grown at 30 pounds and I would say he’s not getting any bigger.

Story
Virgil is an 8-year-old neutered mixed-breed (~40–50 lbs, probably some pit). He’s been my companion since he was found as a stray puppy and has been part of our lives through moves, marriage, and welcoming our first child. Due to changing family circumstances, we’re looking for a loving new home where he can thrive.Virgil is affectionate, gentle, and enjoys the simple things—fetch, walks, chewtoys, and being close to his people. He is great with adults and children and has lived with a toddler for the past two years with patience and gentleness. He also enjoys other dogs, though he can get playful and "excited."He is house-trained, was crate-trained as a younger dog, and knows sit, stay, down, and “bed.” He has never bitten, is not destructive, and is generally well-behaved. His quirks include leash-pulling (though not at other dogs), shedding, and mild anxiety/pacing during routine changes.Virgil would do well in a loving home with companionship, walks, and consistency.

Story
We received Mouse as a puppy from a friend in 2021. She is an albino pit mix, maybe a little dalmation in there. She is a nanny dog to children. Loves to play. Still likes to chew on toys and squeakers. She prefers to sleep with the kids, but if a door is left open, she might have an accident in the house overnight. Whines if you try to crate her.

Story
Star is the sole puppy of a street dog that wandered into our cul-de-sac in 2024. The mother looked mostly like a black lab, but the puppy is smaller and less black. At 2 years old, she is still full of energy and loves to play with toys. She especially likes flat acorn-shaped plush toys. She is crate trained.

Story
Name: JasperAge: ~10 years old (A perfect, mature gentleman!)Breed: Lovely Brown & White Mixed BreedHealth: Great health, fully up-to-date on all shots from the county pound. He has a few benign fatty deposits and a long skin tag—both explicitly checked and cleared by county veterinarians as completely harmless.About Jasper:If you are looking for a low-maintenance, affectionate companion who excels at the art of relaxation, Jasper is your guy! He is a very lazy, sweet boy whose favorite hobbies include lounging around the house and eating. While he loves a good nap, his absolute favorite part of the day is when you come home. He gets incredibly happy, wags his tail, and makes sure you know just how much you were missed.Jasper was originally rescued from the county pound, and we have loved him dearly. However, now that our kids are grown, our house is empty and we are rarely home due to busy schedules. We want Jasper to go to folks who have more time to spend with him.

Story
Meet Riggs! Riggs is a little bundle of energy and affection who is always ready for his next adventure—or a cozy cuddle session afterward. He loves going for walks and especially enjoys time at the park where he can run, play, and burn off some of his enthusiasm. Riggs gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. When Riggs came into the care of Valley Dogs, he was suffering from a hip injury that required a femoral head ostectomy (FHO). His veterinarian believes the injury was caused by some type of trauma, such as a fall, jump, or impact to the hip area that resulted in a fracture. Despite his injury, Riggs never let it slow him down. Even before surgery, he happily kept up with his four-legged companions. After surgery, he is simply continuing to enjoy life to the fullest. Riggs would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard, especially since he weighs less than 12 pounds. He would love a family that includes him in walks, outings, and everyday activities. While he has not been exposed to children in his foster home, he is expected to do well with respectful kids once he knows he is safe, loved, and part of the family. He would also enjoy having one or more canine companions to play with and help keep him entertained. If you're looking for a fun-loving, resilient, and affectionate little dog to join your family, Riggs may be the perfect match. Story
Meet Kernel (aka Max), your soon-to-be best buddy! Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out. Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session. I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice! Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute. Come meet me—I have a feeling we’re meant to be! Please email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to schedule a meet & greet.

Walker is the sweetest little boy. He is so calm and loving, sweet and tender. He is a perfect small size to be a wonderful companion. He is shepherd looking yet small and cuddly. He loves the water and has recently learned to swim in the pool. He loves that time both in the water and chasing around with the other pups. Walker is crate trained sleeping through the night and doing very well on his house training. He is such a sweet and happy pup. He will bring love and smiles to his forever home.
