Story
Loki loves to walks and going on hikes. He plays fetch and can be a super sweet yet shy boy. He is a goofball and has a unique howl when prompted. He also isn't much of a barker. He currently lives with our other dog and does well with her. However, he has not been around other dogs outside of our household, so we can't confidently say how he would do with unfamiliar dogs without a proper introduction. He does well with older children, but we are specifically looking for a home without babies or young children. Since bringing our baby home, Loki has growled at our baby on a couple of occasions. We don't want to ignore the warning signs or put either Loki or our baby in a situation where something could happen. We feel that finding him a home better suited to him is the responsible choice. We would love for Loki to go to someone who will genuinely make him part of their family

Story
Molly is a sweet girl who loves to spend time with people. She does struggle with cats so is best suited for homes without cats. She is roughly 6-6.5 years old.My brother found Molly about 4.5 years ago in a strip mall and my mother adopted her. Unfortunately my mother passed away from cancer. I am fostering her now but I am unable to keep Molly long term as I already have two other dogs. She has attacked cats in my mother’s care. However she is very gentle and sweet with humans. She is currently in Northern California.

Story
We have had Simba since he is a puppy and he is doggy door trained. He would be best suited as a one dog household or with medium to bigger dogs to play with. We have had some behavioral issues with Simba biting our little Chihuahua and cat. And being 90% Chihuahua he likes to nip at new guests in our house. Once he gets to know them he is fine but as a household of 5 with 3 boys we have new people coming in/out daily and it's too much risk. He is a great companion and wants to be a lap dog if he could. This is a very hard decision for our family so we hope to find a good home for him.

We received Mouse as a puppy from a friend in 2021. She is an albino pit mix, maybe a little dalmation in there. She is a nanny dog to children. Loves to play. Still likes to chew on toys and squeakers. She prefers to sleep with the kids, but if a door is left open, she might have an accident in the house overnight. Whines if you try to crate her.

Story
Star is the sole puppy of a street dog that wandered into our cul-de-sac in 2024. The mother looked mostly like a black lab, but the puppy is smaller and less black. At 2 years old, she is still full of energy and loves to play with toys. She especially likes flat acorn-shaped plush toys. She is crate trained.

Story
Hello this is Kono! He is 6 years old and was adopted from Helen Woodward Animal center outside of Del Mar, California. He was adopted during Covid while my wife and I were living in an apartment. We then moved back to Arizona in 2023 to another home without a backyard. He is a very curious dog by nature and is perfectly with other dogs or by himself. His favorite thing to do is to be outside and unfortunately he can only go outside before and after my wife get off work due to our schedules. He is a very sweet boy and likes to cuddle and is also fine being left alone to do his own thing, he is very low maintenance. My wife and I are looking for a home for him that allows him to have more attention and with a reasonable backyard so he can thrive

These pups are in Gilbert, Arizona too!

Story
Meet Riggs! Riggs is a little bundle of energy and affection who is always ready for his next adventure—or a cozy cuddle session afterward. He loves going for walks and especially enjoys time at the park where he can run, play, and burn off some of his enthusiasm. Riggs gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. When Riggs came into the care of Valley Dogs, he was suffering from a hip injury that required a femoral head ostectomy (FHO). His veterinarian believes the injury was caused by some type of trauma, such as a fall, jump, or impact to the hip area that resulted in a fracture. Despite his injury, Riggs never let it slow him down. Even before surgery, he happily kept up with his four-legged companions. After surgery, he is simply continuing to enjoy life to the fullest. Riggs would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard, especially since he weighs less than 12 pounds. He would love a family that includes him in walks, outings, and everyday activities. While he has not been exposed to children in his foster home, he is expected to do well with respectful kids once he knows he is safe, loved, and part of the family. He would also enjoy having one or more canine companions to play with and help keep him entertained. If you're looking for a fun-loving, resilient, and affectionate little dog to join your family, Riggs may be the perfect match. Story
Meet Kernel (aka Max), your soon-to-be best buddy! Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out. Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session. I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice! Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute. Come meet me—I have a feeling we’re meant to be! Please email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to schedule a meet & greet.

Story
Many times the best things in life take a little time and patience. That is absolutely true of Havarti if given just a small amount of time and patience Havarti will overflow with love for her people and be the most loyal, loving and playful little girl you’ve ever seen. She deserves a place to call her own with love and toys and snuggles. We are confident she will not disappoint the special family who can see past her being shy and reserved upon an initial meet and greet. Havarti is good with other dogs and loves to play, she would be fine with kitties as well. Recommended older children who understand giving a dog the time and space to feel comfortable in a new environment. Come meet this sweet girl in her foster home!
