Story
My sweet dog is 4 years old, be 5 on Jan 31/26. She’s truly very loyal and loving and gentle with kids. She’s also not at all territorial. She’s playful and a joy. Her biggest issue is that when she’s on leash she can be unpredictable and can jump or growl at other people or dogs. In addition, when I have new people come over I either crate her or put her on leash and do a slow introduction. I like to describe her as the queen of worst first impressions. She is all bark and no bite and has never hurt anyone but she does “scare” a lot of people since she jumps. I’m sadly rehoming her due to having a baby and not having enough time to give her the attention she needs. I feel she deserves better. She needs to run around a lot and is extremely fast. She is somewhat okay off leash. My child is a toddler and she’s excellent around them and loves them. I would be interested to get to know her new family and maybe have some visits over the years and would love photos.

Story
We adopted Ossie about 2 years ago, when she had been found as a stray in Oakland, CA. She is extremely loving, and needs a home where she gets lots of attention, walks, and cuddles. Since the birth of our first born son, we just have struggled to give her what she needs.

Story
URGENT HOME NEEDED! Young rescue pit mix. Brought him home from shelter life. He needs a home with major structure and time to train. He is very food motivated. And with having a young child in the home this isn’t the ideal situation for him. He would do best with a dominant dog or alone. He chases cats and has extremely selective hearing. He could do well with older kids. Our main goal is to find him a good home where he can live up to his best potential. He does not get along with our first dog as she is too sweet to correct his behavior. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Story
Carl is a 3 year old mutt, originally from Maui but adopted through the Oakland SPCA. He’s a real smarty pants who loves tricks and tasks. He does great with recall off leash, and walks nicely on a leash. He is very much a DOG: Barks at the mail carrier, wants to chase cats, loves a stick. He would THRIVE in a home that could take him on regular hikes. Challenges: While he loves or at least tolerates most dogs and puppies, he will act like a bully to some very young puppies. He won’t hurt them, but he will certainly scare them, so its best to keep him on leash around puppies. He needs a while to warm up to some people. For this reason, he’s not a dog that does well in loud crowded environments like a farmer’s market or beer garden. (Or at least he’d need specific training around this). The reasons I am rehoming him are mainly time and money (I’d be happy to discuss). I’ve been looking for 3 years and am dedicated to finding him the right home. Will donate to rescue org in lieu of fee.

Story
Meet our sweet girl who is ready to find her forever home. She absolutely loves people - especially kids - and lights up around other dogs. Fetch is her favorite game, and she will happily chase a ball for as long as you are willing to throw it. After playtime, she’s all about snuggles and will gladly curl up next to you for a cozy nap. She has been to dog training and knows how to walk on leash as well as sit and lay down on command and is eager to please. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home, as loud noises and busy environments can make her anxious. With a gentle, loving family and a peaceful setting, she will be a loyal, affectionate companion who brings warmth and joy every day.
