Story
Meet Piper! Piper has been an amazing dog for her owner (my mother) for a long time. Unfortunately, Mom has dementia and can no longer care for her properly. She is a sweet dog and really enjoys being around people. She loves the outdoor outdoors and laying in the sun. Piper needs to be the only animal in the home, as she doesn’t have a lot of experience with other animals and has shown that she does not get along well with those that she has met. She truly has been a companion for Mom for a lot of years and so the goal is to find someone who will love her and take care of her.

Story
We adopted Remi over a year ago from a shelter. We wanted a companion for our dachshund. Remi was 1 year when we adopted her and is 2 now. She is a very sweet girl with but has increasingly started to dominate our dachshund. She will attack him with no warning. No bites but our other dogs is now very scared of her and we have to keep them apart not supervised which is stressful for both dogs. She is medium/small mix of poodle/Pekinese and chihuahua. She sleeps in her crate at night with no problems. Only barks if someone is at the door or if she feels nervous on a walk with other dogs. Remi would be so lovely as a solo pet with someone who is active and has time to train her properly. She still has some training needs like pulling on the lead and sit commands, but she is still young and very smart and loves belly rubs and being the centre of attention. We feel awful that it has not worked out and she deserves to be happy as does our other dog.

Story
My sweet dog is 4 years old, be 5 on Jan 31/26. She’s truly very loyal and loving and gentle with kids. She’s also not at all territorial. She’s playful and a joy. Her biggest issue is that when she’s on leash she can be unpredictable and can jump or growl at other people or dogs. In addition, when I have new people come over I either crate her or put her on leash and do a slow introduction. I like to describe her as the queen of worst first impressions. She is all bark and no bite and has never hurt anyone but she does “scare” a lot of people since she jumps. I’m sadly rehoming her due to having a baby and not having enough time to give her the attention she needs. I feel she deserves better. She needs to run around a lot and is extremely fast. She is somewhat okay off leash. My child is a toddler and she’s excellent around them and loves them. I would be interested to get to know her new family and maybe have some visits over the years and would love photos.

Story
We adopted Ossie about 2 years ago, when she had been found as a stray in Oakland, CA. She is extremely loving, and needs a home where she gets lots of attention, walks, and cuddles. Since the birth of our first born son, we just have struggled to give her what she needs.

Story
I had asked about the dog from a friend of the family who did not want the dog and wanted someone else to take him. So I did, which took some time at first but with some patience (and food), I was able to gain Simba’s trust to take him home with me. I did my best in terms of getting his shots, buying food, potty training him and get him to sit. He’s a good dog that needs someone who can be more active and can keep up with his expenses. I’m busy with school and trying to job hunt, so trying to have a balanced schedule, along with caring for a dog can be a lot, but I tried for almost a year now. Simba is about 3 years old, and is very playful, loves to be pet, hyperactive and loves food. He was an outside dog before I got him into my apartment, so he’ll love walks or just a space to run around. Loves kids than adults, and has some anxiety, so he’ll take awhile to warm up to you at first. Just show him care and love and he’ll come around.

Story
URGENT HOME NEEDED! Young rescue pit mix. Brought him home from shelter life. He needs a home with structure and time to train. He is very food motivated. He would do best with a dominant dog or alone. He chases cats and He could do well with older kids. Our main goal is to find him a good home where he can live up to his best potential. He does not get along with our first dog as she is too sweet to correct his behavior. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
