Story
Ruby is an 8 year old mix breed who we adopted as a puppy from the SF SPCA and have had ever since. She is ~55 lbs and very good natured and trainable. She knows all her basic commands - sit, stay, come, shake, wait, and even dance. Historically she was very active but now in her middle age is very happy lounging all day or out for a run or hike or chasing a frisbee. We are only looking for a wonderful home for Ruby. She currently lives in a busy home with young kids that makes her uneasy and we think she will do better in a home with kids ages 6+ or no kids at all. She'd be comfortable in a city, suburban or rural home setting. She is generally pleasant with other dogs, except if they come to her "turf" at home she will bark territorially. While she has never lived with a cat, she hasn't had any major reactions the few times she has met them and we suspect would be just fine. We are happy to have her back for long weekends or whatever time you might need a dog sitter in the future!

Story
Woody is a 1-year-old loving, eager-to-please, and intelligent lab/german shepherd mutt. He spent the first year of his life being fostered by two loving families after being found abandoned at 4 weeks old, and is now ready for his forever home! Woody will do anything for food and praise. He is smart and loves to show off his tricks: sit, stay, shake, lie down, relax, place, rollover, and giving a kiss on the cheek. (Come and fetch are ... works in progress.) He's fully potty and crate trained, though can be left out in the home for several hours. His favorite activities are sitting on the couch by his people eating a yak chew, going to daycare, and sniffing bushes on walks. He can bark if his people or home are approached by strangers, so his ideal home is one with a single person or couple without kids (other dogs are great). If you want a adoring, protective, well-trained dog and don't mind buying copious amounts of treats, Woody is a perfect addition to your family.

Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Oakland, CA Chibi was acquired from a shelter, originally coming from an abandoned home. She's estimated to be 3.5 years old. 40 lbs. She's very sweet with new people and her family. She's happy to play all day and knows some tricks like sit, stand, speak, paw, center, fetch, and can even grab and bring water bottles. She's crate trained. Shes very cuddly and likes attention, especially at night. Extremely smart, great at learning advanced tricks. Communicates with her unique barks and noises. Goofy personality. Her ideal home would be one looking for a high energy dog with daily walks and play. A bigger or matching sized dog would also help with her energy. She also plays with smaller dogs, but tends to play rougher. A decent sized apartment or house is also ideal, especially with a yard. Training is recommended for leash pulling, socialization of other dogs and people, and food and crate aggression. Prefer an experienced owner willing to put time and effort into helping her bloom.

Story
We got Patty one year ago from the SPCA. She is a good dog, for the most part, but unfortunately she triggers my son's allergies and asthma so we need to re-home her. She is full of energy and eager to learn. She does have some attachment issues and can be reactive around other animals. If there are children in the home she is best around older children. She would not do well in a home with young children. She also needs a lot of space to run and play so would be better in a home with a yard or a home where her owner is able to frequently take her outside. We love her and are sad to see her go.

Story
Odo was found abandoned in NM, he has been with our family for a little under 2 years. He is protective and once comfortable very sweet. Our family lives a hectic lifestyle and due to his background we believe would be happier in a more stable home. He hasn't been around kids but seems to have reactivity to other pets and kids. He does resource guard, as well.

Story
I'm looking for the perfect home for my sweet, 85-pound red dog. She's incredibly loyal, smart, and spoiled—in the best way. She loves to snuggle and sleeps on the bed with me every night. She even brings me her Kong when she wants me to stuff it with treats! She needs a home with space to run and, most importantly, where she can feel safe and secure. Due to a difficult past, she is wary of men, so a female adopter is preferred. She spent four weeks with a professional trainer and made great progress—I’m happy to provide his contact information if you’d like to learn more about her training. Important things to know: No cats – she has a strong prey drive and has injured a cat in the past. She plays hard and doesn’t realize she’s a big girl—85 lbs. of love and energy! She previously tore her ACL. I couldn’t afford surgery, but she healed well and shows no signs of injury now. She’s very food- and toy-motivated and learns quickly.
