Story
We are looking for a loving, calm home for our sweet terrier mix 14-year-old boy. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family, but we want him to have more time, attention, and comfort than we’re currently able to give. He is crate trained and potty trained, though due to his age he may have occasional accidents. When he has easy access to the outdoors, he prefers to go outside and does very well. He is extremely quiet and does not bark at all. He is gentle, great with kids, and has a very calm, low-energy personality. He loves to cuddle and be near his people, but he’s also perfectly content relaxing and sleeping in his crate for much of the day. He will sniff other dogs but usually doesn’t show much interest beyond that. He is afraid of cats. He will just avoid them.

Story
Please help, we need to re-home our dog. Born on January 6, 2025, Ollie was rescued from Humane Society Silicon Valley in March 2025. His breed is uncertain, although he was initially listed as a large breed mix, possibly a Shepherd or Catahoula mix. As Ollie has matured, he has become increasingly comfortable around other dogs, displaying a strong inclination for play. While he is good with older children, Ollie exhibits apprehension towards individuals wearing hats and certain objects such as lawn tools and baby strollers. Having been crate-trained and taught basic commands like heel, sit, and lie down, Ollie would excel in an environment with experienced adults or families with other dogs. Due to his unpredictable behavior around young children and the space constraints of our yard, we are seeking a more suitable re-homing option for Ollie.

Story
We adopted Ralphie when we had a home and a backyard, but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to downgrade to an apartment. Ralph is a good boy - he’s loving, loyal, and a great cuddle buddy. We recently brought our daughter home and noticed his territorial behavior has gotten worse (barks excessively when people come over, nips at ankles etc) and we simply do not have the time or money to take him back to training and try to fix this behavior. It’s unsafe for our baby girl, and impossible for us to have guests over now. He is reactive toward other dogs, but gets along well with his sister. He needs a home with a patient owner who can help train him and care for him. We’re so upset to have to rehome him, but we want the best for our little buddy, and we unfortunately cannot give that to him right now.

Story
Hi, I’m Emma, an 8-month-old girl with a gentle soul who is searching for a place to finally call home. I was rescued from neglect at just 4 months old, so feeling safe, loved, and reassured means everything to me. Once I trust you, I give my whole heart. I’m crate trained, house-trained, sleep through the night, and will let you know when I need to go outside. I love fetch, playtime, and staying active, and I need regular exercise to help me thrive. New environments can make me a little shy at first, and when I’m excited I may jump, so I still need patient guidance and continued training. I do best with experienced dog owners who understand young dogs and can provide structure, consistency, and affection. I’m incredibly loyal, eager to please, and longing for a permanent family who will love me for life 🐾❤️

Story
Meet Houdini! Houdini is a Husky/Retriever mix with the perfect balance of adventure buddy and cuddle companion. He loves staying active outdoors just as much as he enjoys snuggling up with his people. He's great with other dogs and does best with slow, positive introductions to new people. Houdini has completed a confidence-building program with me and has made wonderful progress in social settings. He currently has solid skills in: Leash walking, off-leash reliability, and obedience foundations. Houdini would thrive in a home (no apartments, please) with or without other dogs. He'll do best with someone willing to continue building on his training and confidence. Additional perks: Crate trained, potty trained, food motivated (great for training!), loves to play ball! If you're looking for a loyal, smart, and active companion, Houdini might be your perfect match. A professional dog trainer is lined up to support Houdini's new family, free of charge, to set everyone up for success!

Story
Zoey is a mixed breed, possibly some kind of terrier mix, medium size dog likely around four years old. Her human passed away and had no known relatives- she would have been surrendered to a shelter and likely euthanized, but I offered to try to find this sweet girl a new home. She's enthusiastically friendly, not shy at all with new people. She's very energetic and doesn't necessarily need someone very experienced with dogs, but does need someone who can regularly exercise her more strenuously than simple walks. She seems to understand the concept of fetch and loves playing with toys. She gets along with my two dogs but I don't know how well she would interact with cats. Very cuddly and loves attention!
