Story
Meet Houdini! Houdini is a Husky/Retriever mix with the perfect balance of adventure buddy and cuddle companion. He loves staying active outdoors just as much as he enjoys snuggling up with his people. He's great with other dogs and does best with slow, positive introductions to new people. Houdini has completed a confidence-building program with me and has made wonderful progress in social settings. He currently has solid skills in: Leash walking, off-leash reliability, and obedience foundations. Houdini would thrive in a home (no apartments, please) with or without other dogs. He'll do best with someone willing to continue building on his training and confidence. Additional perks: Crate trained, potty trained, food motivated (great for training!), loves to play ball! If you're looking for a loyal, smart, and active companion, Houdini might be your perfect match. A professional dog trainer is lined up to support Houdini's new family, free of charge, to set everyone up for success!

Story
We adopted Ralphie when we had a home and a backyard, but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to downgrade to an apartment. Ralph is a good boy - he’s loving, loyal, and a great cuddle buddy. We recently brought our daughter home and noticed his territorial behavior has gotten worse (barks excessively when people come over, nips at ankles etc) and we simply do not have the time or money to take him back to training and try to fix this behavior. It’s unsafe for our baby girl, and impossible for us to have guests over now. He is reactive toward other dogs, but gets along well with his sister. He needs a home with a patient owner who can help train him and care for him. We’re so upset to have to rehome him, but we want the best for our little buddy, and we unfortunately cannot give that to him right now.

Story
Please help, we need to re-home our dog. Born on January 6, 2025, Ollie was rescued from Humane Society Silicon Valley in March 2025. His breed is uncertain, although he was initially listed as a large breed mix, possibly a Shepherd or Catahoula mix. As Ollie has matured, he has become increasingly comfortable around other dogs, displaying a strong inclination for play. While he is good with older children, Ollie exhibits apprehension towards individuals wearing hats and certain objects such as lawn tools and baby strollers. Having been crate-trained and taught basic commands like heel, sit, and lie down, Ollie would excel in an environment with experienced adults or families with other dogs. Due to his unpredictable behavior around young children and the space constraints of our yard, we are seeking a more suitable re-homing option for Ollie.

Story
Zoey is a mixed breed, possibly some kind of terrier mix, medium size dog likely around four years old. Her human passed away and had no known relatives- she would have been surrendered to a shelter and likely euthanized, but I offered to try to find this sweet girl a new home. She's enthusiastically friendly, not shy at all with new people. She's very energetic and doesn't necessarily need someone very experienced with dogs, but does need someone who can regularly exercise her more strenuously than simple walks. She seems to understand the concept of fetch and loves playing with toys. She gets along with my two dogs but I don't know how well she would interact with cats. Very cuddly and loves attention!

Story
Carl is a 3 year old mutt, originally from Maui but adopted through the Oakland SPCA. He’s a real smarty pants who loves tricks and tasks. He does great with recall off leash, and walks nicely on a leash. He is very much a DOG: Barks at the mail carrier, wants to chase cats, loves a stick. He would THRIVE in a home that could take him on regular hikes. Challenges: While he loves or at least tolerates most dogs and puppies, he will act like a bully to some very young puppies. He won’t hurt them, but he will certainly scare them, so its best to keep him on leash around puppies. He needs a while to warm up to some people. For this reason, he’s not a dog that does well in loud crowded environments like a farmer’s market or beer garden. (Or at least he’d need specific training around this). The reasons I am rehoming him are mainly time and money (I’d be happy to discuss). I’ve been looking for 3 years and am dedicated to finding him the right home. Will donate to rescue org in lieu of fee.

Story
Nova is a sweet, happy girl with a wonderful temperament. She loves going for walks, playing with her toys, and absolutely loves mealtime. Playful and good-natured, she enjoys cuddling and being close to her people, yet she’s also confident and independent. She’s very smart and eager to please, making her a joy to have around. Nova has never been destructive—even when left home alone for the day—and she is fully potty trained and crate trained. She only needs a new home because my other pet has become aggressive. Please text or email me or if you call, leave a message!
