Story
Chato was adopted from the shelter at approximately 1 year old. He was very shy but had been through their training program and we had hoped that he would warm up and come out of his shell in a secure home. Once home, we noticed some scars that show evidence he may have suffered abuse prior to arriving at the shelter. He is a very sweet dog and loves his people, but is very protective of his home. He did bite on the hand a workman who accidentally arrived in the yard at the same time Chato was going out to potty. He also struggles to get along with the larger dog living in the home, though he's great with the smaller dogs and cats. Chato really needs a home with fewer people coming and going and no other pets (or just one or two other small dogs). He will need socialization training and possibly medication for his anxiety. He loves walks, belly rubs and yak cheese. He will need a fenced yard, but is making strides on recall. He is up to date on all vaccines and medications.

Story
We got Bruce at the humane society here in Wichita a couple years ago and he is about 9 years old. He is house trained and does not get kenneled however has recently started getting in the trash when we are not home (something to keep in mind). He is a very sweet dog he is just very rowdy when guests come over or when he hears something outside which is a concern for us bringing a baby home in a few months. He does have a bad habit of chewing things up like boxes/anything left on counters when nobody is home, he will tear up anything that is left out. He loves toys and cuddles and he is very energetic for his age. He loves to play and sleep. He matches energy very well so if you’re laying around all day he will also, if you want to play with him and get hyper he will do that with you also. He has never bitten anyone since we have had him or been aggressive with any humans.

Story
Maggie Mae "Mae Flower" is a loving, affectionate dog with plenty of playful energy in her mature body. She’s kennel trained, friendly, and loves snuggles, and she thrives with consistent care and attention. She would do best in a home with a yard and preferably without small children. She can be nervous around men at first but warms up quickly. Maggie might prefer being an only pet, which could also help with occasional marking behavior. However, she gets along great with other dogs and cats! I recently broke my leg and had a major reconstructive surgery and have not been able to give Maggie as much attention as she deserves, and may not be able to for some time. Due to my limitations, I’m looking for a caring, patient home where she can get the walks, space, and love she deserves. She’ll come with her favorite toys, kennel, and food to make the transition easier. If you can provide a calm, supportive environment, Maggie will be a loyal and loving companion for years to come!

Story
He is chill and likes water mostly after a bath, rubbing against a towel, but can escape from a chain. He would thrive as an only dog (i think). Rocky might have a dislike of men, not sure. Is a fan of toys, likes rolling around, and is cuddly.
