Story
We were told it was a chocolate lab when we agreed to take her in from someone out of state. They brought her all the way to us and when she got here, we realized she was possibly a PitBull. She’s sweet as can be but she is very hyper. She does not tear anything up and loves sitting right at your feet. She savers her food but does not use the doggy door. She’s a little fancy so you will have to open the door for her lol. I have young babies so I can’t really let her roam about in the same room as the babies due to her hyperness but they love her. She will jump up on you and she is house trained.

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Lahni is certianly a difficult case, not for the inexperienced dog parent. She has seasonal allergies that require allergy medication, for which she’s currently on immunotherapy treatments. She gets the occasional ear infection that is common with collie mixes. She is incredibly smart which makes her quite stubborn, and she loves to bark. Honestly, she needs a home where she can roam free and be able to kind of do her own thing, which at this time in my life I’m unable to provide. Unfortunately, she needs a new home with a new family to love due to our families new baby. She hasn’t been aggressive towards the baby but she has been aggressive towards strangers in the home since my son was born, likely just being protective but I can’t trust her anymore. If you’re looking for a challenge and a really smart dog, Lahnis the right dog for you.

Story
Buddy is a 5-year-old boxer/pitbull mix with a huge personality and even bigger energy! He loves to play, wrestle around, and show off his signature move — hopping up on his hind legs to “box” with you like a tiny heavyweight champion. Fetch isn’t exactly his strong suit (he prefers to chase the ball and then completely ignore the “bring it back” part), but he makes up for it with endless entertainment and affection. Buddy is also an excellent neighborhood security system and will proudly announce the arrival of the mailman every single time. After a long day of playing and protecting the house, his favorite thing to do is curl up and sleep like a champ. He’s goofy, loving, loyal, and always ready to make you laugh.

Story
I adopted Lily 7 and a half years ago through the Wichita Animal Action League. She is approximately 11 years old. Lily is the best, sweetest girl. She is an old lady who loves to go on walks, cuddle, and most of all, sleep. She is a major couch potato, not much interested in games or play. Why play fetch when you could be cuddling?! She is sweet and patient. She has spent a lot of time around babies, toddlers, and kids with no issues. She takes a lot of warming up to be comfortable with other dogs, so best she is in a single dog home. She is no fan of cats. The home that would best fit Lily is one that is relaxed, calm, and full of love. She does have a thunderstorm phobia, but she is also going partially deaf due to old age. She also has a prescription medicine that helps her remain calm. Lily would come with: crate/kennel, multiple beds, her favorite bones, leash & harness, and food to get you started.
