Looking for an owner knowledgeable of senior dogs. She is about 14 and is generally healthy. She does have slight incontinence but regular potty breaks every 3-5 hours has been the sweet spot. I kennel overnight and during the work day to avoid accidents throughout the home. Her poor teeth health had recently been evaluated by the vet and due to complications associated with age vet teeth cleaning has been difficult to acquire. She also struggles with allowing me to brush but I believe with consistent effort she can adjust! She does great with bathing and she loves to take walks and even still gets zoomies around the house! she can also be really sweet and affectionate and loves her naps. She is anxious around strangers so kids/pets reaching to touch her can make her snappy, it does not break skin. However, after consistent contact she starts to adjust and will embrace that contact!

This is Koa. She’s 7 years old (DOB 1/28/19). We adopted her when she was a puppy and she’s been with us ever since. She is a herding dog and tends to nip/jump when she gets excited but has never truly bitten anyone or broken skin. However, we have a 3 year old in the house and are worried for our daughter’s safety as she gets older and more rowdy. Koa has been fine around her so far but she is very protective and honestly should not be trusted around kids. We do have another dog that she is fine around. She really is the sweetest dog but has a lot of anxiety and energy. There is a picture of the DNA test we did when we got her. She is spayed and microchipped. House trained, knows commands, and has an awesome recall. She is up to date on her rabies vaccine. We think she would do best on a farm or at least somewhere with land.
