Story
Stuart is 60 lbs, a mixed breed, and will be 4 years old in fall 2026. We adopted him 2 years ago. He is in good health and was trained professionally - he can walk off leash plus come, stay, sit & go into his kennel on voice command. He is calm at home and good with our 3 kids (elementary - middle school ages). We are looking for a new home for him because on occasion he shows signs of aggression toward other dogs - for example, on a walk, he is calm and steady about 80-90% of the time but then on occasion growls angrily at other dogs passing by. Out of an abundance of caution we have made the difficult choice to find a new home for him since we have young kids and want to feel confident with them taking our dog out on their own. Stuart would be a wonderful pet for a home with older or no children. He is fully house trained, and is not destructive toward anything. If we were in a different life stage or he never showed signs of aggression when on a walk we would keep him.

Story
Jack is a 3 year old pug mastiff mix he has been through a lot the last 3 years seeing I was in an abusive relationship he doesn't like people yelling he doesn't like males he's shy at first when u meet him but once he warms up he's sweet and loving and loves to cuddle he does ok with cats but not great other dogs r iffy if there a baby he's seems ok with them. He isn't fixed and does need his shots. He loves os stuffies and will carry them around the house he loves sleeping in bed with u and on the couch he is kennel trained but does bark or cry for awhile after u leave. He would do better in a home where if he barks it's not a big deal also a home where someone could be home he has anxiety of being alone. I really just want him to go to a home I know can handle him and won't beat or hurt him if u feels like ur in danger or someone is yelling at u he will go after them he has NEVER bit anyone but it could happen cause of things he has seen. Any other questions feel free to ask thank u

Story
Happy is a 3(ish)year old Hound mix (I have completed a DNA test and am comfortable sharing results, it’s just a lot). He currently lives with a toddler and 2 other dogs. He loves snuggles and attention - thinks he’s quite the lap dog! What Happy needs is more space. He does SO well with dogs in the home and in the backyard but really struggles when seeing dogs passing by our fence or dogs on a leash. It has led to him jumping our fence. He would do well with a tall fence or someone with land. He also will benefit from an experienced owner who has time to put into training him. I have done as much as I can with a shock collar and leash training, but I have a full time job and a toddler so the time has become limited. He is SO loving and has such a huge personality, I just am restrained in the opportunities that I can offer him. I did get him from a shelter where he had spent all of his life, so there might be trauma there leading to some of his reactions.

Story
I adopted Marley a little over two years ago when she was about eight months old, so she’ll be three years old this fall! She’s the cutest thing — one ear sticks up (yes, the tippy tip of her ear is missing) and the other lays down. She’s an incredibly sweet girl, and her favorite place is with her human. We’ve been navigating some reactivity issues lately — completed a long board and train program. She knows commands, some tricks and does well on a leash. She does prefer to keep her distance from other dogs and cats. She’s okay with kids, but their unpredictability can be overwhelming for her. She’s a water dog — loves puddles, lakes and puppy pools — loves to play fetch, and loves to sleep cuddled up in bed with her person/people! She would do best in an adult only house with humans that can spend time stimulating and loving her.

Story
Combine equal measures of heart-melting affection, adorable, Olympic athleticism, unquenchable curiosity and unconditional love, and Voilà, let me introduce you to the one and only Suki! Suki awakes each day, without a sound in her crate, with hugs and kisses for her foster mommy or daddy and boundless enthusiasm to re-explore, chase toys, and set new sprinting records in her awesome backyard! Breakfast is next, followed by more play, hopefully by then with her big foster brother Buddy, who’s a sleepy head. Suki doesn’t need toys to play with – any stick, leaf, piece of wood or root is really fun too! Suki really tries to play with the squirrels, bunnies and birds too, but so far they’ve been way too busy! And when Suki needs a break, there’s nothing she loves more than a nap in her crate, or even better, next to her foster Mommy or Daddy or on their lap! Cuddling and playing with her loved ones makes Suki the happiest! If you’re looking for a puppy to make your smile all the time, Suki may be your girl! If you would like to meet Suki, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.

Story
We adopted James about 3.5 years ago, we think he's almost 7. When he was rescued his leg was broken and they amputated it but it definitely doesn't slow him down. He loves playing fetch and learning tricks for treats. His behavior indicates a rough life but he's quick to learn and has improved significantly. He would probably thrive in a single dog home with someone who has experience with dogs. He does not like cats or small children. We recently became pregnant and it's not going well for him. We love him so much and hope we can find someone he deserves.
