His favorite place in the world is curled up at the foot of your bed, and he’s happiest when he’s close to his people. Louie is:* Very people-oriented and affectionate to his person* Food motivated and eager to learn (great for training!)* Loves car rides and laying on the back of the couch looking out the window* Not a big barker (unless he is kenneled waiting for his foodThings to know so we find him the best fit: Louie would thrive in a calm, structured home (no other pets) with one primary person or a small household, ideally someone who is home often. He needs consistency, patience, and someone willing to continue working with him so he feels safe and secure.

Meet Meadow!! This sweet angel is a snuggle bug and will take all the cuddles you want to give her. She is affectionate and loving and would like nothing better than to make your lap her home. Meadow has been neutered or spayed, given age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, is heartworm negative, and on prevention. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. Rescued 4 years ago as a puppy, Ziggy is a sweet, curious pup who loves walks, tug-of-war, and proudly shredding his plush toys (he leaves everything else alone!). He uses a gentle leader to help manage his enthusiasm for squirrels, sticks, and new sights. With his adorable face and affectionate personality, Ziggy is happiest curled up next to someone he loves. He can be a little shy at first and may need a moment (or a few treats) to warm up, but he’s eager to please and forms strong bonds. Ziggy would thrive as an only pet, though he generally gets along well with other dogs, and with patience, he can continue building confidence around new people and experiences. Ziggy would make the perfect companion to anyone looking for a sweetie pie to add to their home!

My little brother had gotten a dog that had 7 puppies (now she is fixed) 3 of which did not get adopted most likely due to being mutts and all black. He has been doing his best to take care of them which has been extremely difficult. Now the neighbor has been shooting at them when they run into a portion of his property. They are kennel trained and have to spend a long portion of the day in the kennel which is unfair to them and they deserve to have a better loving family.
