Story
Buffy is 8 years old. She loves people of all ages. Her nickname is Buff a roo because she likes to jump and lick your face. She loves to run and runs fast! She is good on a leash that has a control so she does not pull. She does well traveling in cars and visiting the vet. She is somewhat trained. Can follow psit, down, free, stay. She is crate trained as well. We don’t encourage her getting on furniture but she does anyway. She loves to tear up stuffed animals as well as any pet bed that is furry. She is house trained and will tell you when she needs to go out. She can be vocal and talk back to you. She eats dry food twice a day. She does okay with at home brushing and nail trim. She is not a fan of water or baths.

Story
Banner is a 4 year old playful pup. According to an Embark DNA test, hes mostly pit bull and pyrenees with some labrador, golden, and pug mixed in. We adopted him from the Humane Society of Missouri when he was about 4 months. He grew up with another large dog and lives most of his days inside on a couch or outside in a secure fenced-in yard. Hes good at chilling at home while weve been at work. Hes generally good with people but can get hyper about meeting new humans. Hes completely house trained and knows not to jump on people. However, he is not leash trained. Our hearts are broken because we love him dearly and he is a such a special pup. However, within the last year, he has acted up a few times regarding food aggression. We believe this is due to our baby human addition(s) to our family within the past year. We know he will be a really good fit for a family with older kids or a couple or just an adult who will cuddle him at the end of the day.

Story
Hello, my name is Millie. I am a 6 year old female Retriever/Labrador/Shepard mix. I love outside time to run around and cuddles with my owners. I wish I could stay with my family, but I think I would thrive better in a home with more attention. Please help me find a good home!

Story
I got Rojo in February from our City animal control. He was a stray that was found. He was at first very calm slept a lot, however as he has gotten more comfortable he is very rambunctious. The pound had guessed he was two so I thought he would be calmer but I think their estimate was off. Our moan issue is my mother lives with me and she is older and tiny. He gets excited and knocks her down or jumps on her to play but she has ports for dialysis that we are afraid he will pull. He really is a seeet dog who loves running in our yard. I think that he needs another dog to keep company as he has not met a dog he doesn’t love to play with. I just really don’t want him to wind up on the pins again because he’s a good dog just too much for us.

Story
It breaks my heart to do this, but I’m looking to rehome my dog, Maverick, to the right person or family. Maverick is a 9 year-old prior rescue (birthday October) with a life expectancy of 14-16 years. He’s been with me since he was a pup, and he truly is a loving dog at heart but he’s also a bit complex and needs the right environment to thrive. He is naturally shy and skittish, especially around people. He’s not aggressive at all—just very aloof and prefers to keep his distance. Once he feels safe, his sweet and loyal personality really starts to show. He’s one of those dogs who bonds deeply, just on his own terms. Maverick gets along well with other pets and mostly keeps to himself. He has high anxiety and has had professional training, which has helped, but he still needs a patient and understanding owner. He is house trained and leashed trained. Describe him: Stubborn but intelligent, timid but tough, Loving but independent. Doesn't like his paws touched.
