Story
“Some dogs show their bravery loudly — Bria shows hers quietly.” 🐾 When Bria first came into foster, the world felt big and scary. But true to the meaning of her name — Bria means strength and resilience — she’s been bravely learning that people can be kind. About a year old and 27 pounds, Bria is a gentle, sweet soul who’s slowly discovering confidence, one small step at a time. A treat from your hand, a curious sniff, a soft wag — every day she gets a little braver. Bria is looking for a patient home that will celebrate those quiet victories and give her the time she needs to keep blooming. Sometimes the most special dogs are the ones who just need someone to believe in them. Bria is ready for her person. 💛 http://www.coldnosewarmheart.org/dog-application.html @cnwhnj @coldnosewarmheartnj

Story
4-5 month old Hi, my name is Pippa (but my foster family has been calling me Peanut cause I'm so little) and I am looking for a warm lap to call my own. While I do love to chase and play with my toys, my favorite hobby is curling up right next to you (or on top of you) after a busy day of playing. I am a sweet, gentle soul who loves children and other pets. I’m currently working on my potty training and doing really well! If you want a loyal, affectionate companion who will always be happy to see you, I’m the pup for you. I’m still a little puppy, so I’m learning my manners, but my foster mom says I’m super smart and motivated by treats. If you have room for endless kisses and a little bit of playful mischief, apply to meet me today! http://www.coldnosewarmheart.org/dog-application.html @cnwhnj @coldnosewarmheartnj

Story
We adopted Roxy from Common Sense for Animals along with her sister Lola. Lola passed away about a year ago from aggressive cancer and since then Roxy has not been the same around the house and need more attention than we can give her since we have two young children. She can be energetic with the right amount of attention.

Story
Meet Leah! As a 1 year old 30 pound spit-fire” mix, Leah has been waiting a bit for her forever person. Young, absolutely beautiful temperament with people, perfect size, super soft coated and in the process of learning her manners she’s a great fit for those looking for an active breed for canicross, long Days hiking or just straight running around the fields as she’s fast as f….. In the last month Leah has worked really hard on crate training and sleeps beautifully through the night, she has also worked on socialization, and light obedience. Leah is still young and full of energy And Due to this she would do best in a home with older children/ active adults and teens. Leah is playful and has a higher prey drive so a home with children, cats, or small animals (including small dogs) is not preferable. Leah loves the dog park, any type of ball or little dog toy (like the baby ones lol), morning walks, and torturing the resident cat. Leah really is the perfect addition if you’re looking for a more active canine. Adopt Leah!! http://www.coldnosewarmheart.org/dog-application.html @cnwhnj @coldnosewarmheartnj

Story
Nala is a rescue we received from a posting on social media. We have little to zero background info as well as her breed. She is the sweetest, best tempered dog and great with kids. She has been a wonderful addition to our family unfortunately my 4 month old has severe allergy to pet dander/ dogs. This has been a struggle for the past 4 months. We have tried and changed everything we possibly can unfortunately re-homing her would be the best option for Nala and our child at this point. Nala needs and deserves attention I can no longer provide to her. She would be great as a family dog as well as a service/emotional support dog. She’s very smart and trainable. She loves children and people in general. She is house trained and loves the outdoors. This has been an extremely difficult decision to make and we would like to ensure she will be going to a safe, loving and protective owner.

Story
🩷 Rescue Story Louis was rescued from the euthanasia list at "Jeongeup Shelter" in South Korea. After receiving proper medical care, including completion of heartworm treatment, he was moved into a foster home where he has been able to relax, feel safe, and show his gentle, affectionate nature. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Louis is a sensitive and sweet dog who prefers calm environments. He does not enjoy overly energetic dogs, regardless of size. He may do well with another low-energy dog who shows little interest in him, but he is also well-suited to being the only dog in the home. With people, sudden movements—such as hands raised quickly or abrupt approaches—can be frightening for him, and this is currently being worked on through training. However, when his name is called or someone sits calmly and invites him over, Louis approaches on his own, happily cuddles up, and showers them with affection. He has no history of biting or barking at people and genuinely likes human company. His compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Louis truly loves going on walks. He may start out slightly excited at the beginning, but as the walk continues, he settles down and walks nicely while matching his handler’s pace. He handles stairs well and, while traffic noises can make him a bit nervous, he does not panic or try to flee. He enjoys sniffing during walks and does not scavenge or pick up food from the ground. His shedding level is moderate, about 5 out of 10. He has no food allergies and eats well without being picky. 🏡 Habits & Training Louis uses indoor pee pads reliably (100%) and also goes potty outdoors about 85% of the time. He accepts baths and brushing calmly without resistance. He does not have separation anxiety and is comfortable staying alone. He is generally quiet and does not bark, though he may softly whine for a short moment when he is extremely excited or waiting for meals. He rides well in the car and does not appear to experience motion sickness. 💛 Likes & Personality Louis is not particularly interested in toys. Rather than high-energy play, he prefers resting quietly on his own or staying close to his person. He finds comfort in human presence and enjoys peaceful companionship. He is currently living in a foster home.
