Story
Boomer is a 4 year old lab mix. (We believe lab/ chihuahua mix). Boomer is healthy and very playful. He loves walks and loves to swim and fetch. Boomer is a great dog that loves his family. Unfortunately, Boomer struggles with separation anxiety when left alone. Despite many attempts to curb this behavior, medication has been the only workable solution. We are looking for a loving family that can care for Boomer and help him with his issues. He would do well with a family who is home more or may have other pets to spend his time with.

Story
Walnut was found in a field off the side of a road. According to a passerby she was dumped with 3 siblings. The other siblings were each taken in by good samaritans but Walnut was not very trusting and if approached she ran away. We went back several days for a couple of weeks bringing food for her. We were worried for her because it was getting cold. One day we took food to her & she finally let us get close enough to get a leash over her head. We took her home with the intentions of providing shelter & food until we could find her a home. She is very sweet & wants to be loved so badly. She is adjusting to leash walking. She did lick all over my grandson so i believe she is good with kids. She is still a little timid at first but is soon doing a full body wag for your attention. It broke my heart for her being out in the freezing temps. But this wasn't a permanent solution. Financially I am not able to provide a permanent home for this poor puppy. She appears to be under a year old.

Story
M My family dog had a surprise litter in November. We started out with six puppies and rehomed 5 except for 1 which I was hoping to keep, but unfortunately, due to financial circumstances, I am no longer able to give him a good quality life. I really would love to know if anyone was interested in adopting him :) he is super friendly, sweet well mannered pup! He deserves a loving home if you can help let me know ! Thank you :)

Story
Olive was the runt of her litter and not expected to survive. I received her from a family member to increase her chances survival and to have a companion as a veteran suffering from major depression. She is an unknown mixed breed and will be 3yo (Nov 2025). She was born some time in November so I celebrate her birthday on Thanksgiving Day to make it easy to remember. She does require specifically health digestive food as other food upsets her stomach. She is very energetic, loves to play, kid friendly, loves being rubbed/scratched, enjoys bath time for extra rubs, and loves playing with other dogs even cats. Sadly I can't take her with me because of personal health reasons limiting my finances and can't afford the costs at the new living quarters.

Story
We adopted her when she was about 10 yrs old, She is currently 8 yrs old and is shy. She loves to play and loves people. The only reason we are having to get rid of her is because we are relocating and unable to take her with us. She is good with other dogs, she is a little skittish around cats.

Story
Petunia is a stray dog about 1-2 yrs old that found us sometime in February. We spent a lot of time looking for any owners with no luck. Recently we took her to the vet to get her checked out because we want to do right by her. That's when we found out she is heartworm positive :( We would love to keep her, but we just moved from CA to NC with our 4 year old and 2 dogs, while also inheriting 6 ducks and 8 chickens on our 11 acre property. Petunia is so sweet and loves attention. She's been great around our 4 year old, but clearly doesn't have any training and often gets in peoples personal space. She is eager to please and so loving, she'll do great with training. She has interacted with our 2 dogs through our open aluminum fence and has done well. She doesn't bark back at them when they are barking at her. She likes to run and play with all kinds of dog toys. We plan to get her spayed before adopting her out, but she'll need ongoing heartworm treatments.
