Crackers is a 14 week puppy who was found all alone as a stray. But you wouldn’t know it because this girl is sweet and confident! She’s excited to meet new people and dogs. She’s currently living with a slightly younger puppy who was also found alone as a stray and they have a blast playing together. We don’t know what breed Crackers is or tea anything about her except that she’s a delight. Crackers came to us with some skin issues: flaky skin and extremely red, irritated paws. That has cleared up with medicated bathes and mousse. She also had really flat feet, but after a few days of good nutrition and no longer being confined to a small space at the shelter they now look normal and not like little duck feet. Whoever adopts Crackers is very lucky! Apply today and we can arrange for you to meet the lovely little lady.

Meet Bane! Bane is a sweet, loving male pit bull mix who showed up on our porch in April. He quickly became part of our family and has shown us what a wonderful dog he can be. He loves playing, affection, and being around his humans, and he has so much love to give. Unfortunately, Bane has had ongoing difficulty getting along with our other male dog. We have tried to make the situation work, but we’ve realized that our home is not the right environment for him long-term. We believe Bane would thrive in a home where he can be the only dog, or with an experienced owner who can carefully assess his compatibility with other animals. This decision is incredibly difficult because Bane is truly a great dog. We are looking for someone who will be patient with him, give him the love and stability he deserves, and make him a part of their family for good. Bane has so much potential to be an amazing companion, and we just want to find the forever home that is right for him.

Draco is an 8-month-old sweet and loving pup that I adopted from the SPCA of Wake County. He is incredibly gentle, cuddly, affectionate, and loves being around his people. He does have some anxiety and can be a very energetic, vocal dog, so he would do best in a house rather than an apartment where he has more space and less concern about neighbors. He is still young and learning, and with the right environment, patience, and consistency, I think he has so much potential to thrive. Draco would likely do well in a home with another friendly, playful dog, as he enjoys having companionship. Most importantly, he is a genuinely sweet boy who deserves a loving home where his energy and anxiety can be understood and supported.

Daisy is a beautiful dog. She is approximately a year and a half. Daisy was found by a family member on the side of the road apparently hit by a car. Her leg was badly broken. Animal services came and got her. She had surgery and is one hundred percent now. My daughter adopted her in the hopes of giving her a good home. Unfortunately Daisy and my daughter's cat do not get along. We have tried every, but it is not working. We have to keep them separated which is causing havoc in the house! Daisy is sweet and loves to play with her ball. She has fallen asleep with her ball in her mouth! She gets along fine with kids and other dogs. Daisy just needs a good home without a cat.

Luca is a 17-month-old, approximately 40-lb neutered male lab pit mix. He is loving, playful, energetic, and very intelligent. He loves his people, going on walks, playing, and learning new things. He has been working with a trainer and has made great progress with leash walking, people reactivity, and responding to commands. I want to be completely transparent about his behavior history. Luca has had two bite incidents involving my husband. Neither incident broke the skin, and both incidents were related to resource guarding a high-value toy. We take this seriously and know that he needs an experienced owner who understands resource guarding and is willing to continue his training and management.
