Story
This is Sugar, a 7-year-old hound/shepherd mix I adopted from the Pound when she was about a year old. She has been my best friend for years, but with recent life changes and now having a young child, I can no longer give her the life and environment she needs. Sugar is very loving, loyal, and sweet with my wife and me. She has plenty of energy and loves to run, so she’d do best with someone active who can spend time with her. That being said, she does come with some challenges and needs the right fit: She does not take well to men. She’s generally done well with women but has shown protective behavior in our home, including attempting to bite when strangers (men) come in. She lives with two other dogs now, but it took a long adjustment period and she started fights. She was food aggressive at first, so we’ve always fed separately. Ideally, she would thrive as an only dog. She has done ok with our baby so far, but I don’t feel I can fully trust her around young children long-term.

This sweet, affectionate dog is looking for a new home after their owner moved out of state. We’ve been caring for her, but our schedules don’t allow the time and attention she truly deserves. She loves people, soaks up affection, and would thrive in a home where she can be someone’s loyal companion. She just needs a family with time to give her the love she gives so freely.

He is an active, playful, love bug. Otis would do best in a women only household with a large fenced yard to run & play with another young dog or on his own. Otis is house trained and know many commands. He is neutered, up to date on shots, deworming and flea prevention. Bodie is the sweetest boy that is high energy. He loves his people, but is a little intense at times. He would do best in a home with no kids or cats, he does get along with other dogs sometimes, but it depends on their temperament. He LOVES playing with tennis balls. He is super smart and rings a doorbell to go outside, and can even use word buttons for food and water as well! He loves to do food puzzles and go for hikes.
