Acquired it from a friend he said he was going to stay pretty small but he’s a large dog for my grandchildren and he jumps on them he doesn’t bite them but we have a 6&1 year old and he tends to knock them down , he’s an energetic strong dog he needs more discipline when walking but he’s an amazing dog just to big for the kids Want his home to just be loving and big yard and he’s great around other dogs and kids just don’t think he’s the fit for our family since we thought he was going to stay small He’s an andalusian terrier but I can’t seem to find it

Story
Mary Jane is about 4.5 years old. We have two kids (ages 6 and 9) and she does great with them (has lived with us for almost 4 years), but she is anxious around other kids. She is very sweet with us and likes to cuddle up. She likes to play fetch, go on hikes, and is a great running partner. She is smart, has completed obedience training, and is crate trained. She is nervous when meeting other dogs but does fine at the dogsitter's home with other dogs after she gets a few minutes to warm up. She has become territorial in/around our home with our kids' friends, strangers, and visitors (barking, jumping) and needs more socialization training than we can offer her. She will come with her beds and crate. We are willing to waive the fee and pay for a home visit with a trainer to get her acclimated to a new home. We just want a good home and family for her that gives her the attention and patience that she deserves. She is microchipped and up to date on all shots.

Story
Elmer is a sweet, silly, loving guy! He;s had lots of positive obedience training (stay, sit, down, heel, loose leash walking, hand targeting, etc) and really wants to please! He’s a good leash walker and prefers a slower on-leash pace that allows him to smell all the roses. House trained and good in a crate as well, non destructive when left out. Cuddly, loves playing with toys with his people! A+ at fetch and tug! Elmer is very nervous around other dogs and needs a home where he can be the only dog. He currently lives with two large dogs kept mostly separated and so takes 2 inexpensive (total about $20/month at Costco) medications to help manage his anxiety. It;s possible he would not need the meds once he was fully settled into a new only-dog home. Although he needs to live without other dogs, he’s not barky or lunge-y when he sees them out on leash! If you’re looking for a cuddly, walk and playtime ride-or-die, Elmer could be your guy!
