Story
3 year old small lapdog needs a new home. Currently lives with children and does well with them. She has anxiety and would do best in a home with someone home most of the time or able to take her with them. She was rescued off the streets and has some unknown trauma. She is great friends with a large dog in her current home and he helps her feel brave, however she does have nightmares and would attack him in her sleep. Because of the size difference no harm was done, but she now sleeps in her own kennel. She has chewing issues too likely related to the anxiety. She can be a little nippy when playing. She is house trained and kennel trained though she can have occasional accidents. She likes walks and is a great companion. If outside of a fenced yard, she needs to be leashed because she has no recall and will bolt. She doesn't bark much inside the house, but uses her voice much more outside.

Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Sweet baby 9 year old Hart is looking for a new home to spend the last few years of his life. Hart is a pit-mix that I adopted from a shelter in Kentucky in early 2018. He is lively, friendly, curious and handsome. Good things: Hart loves meeting new people and loves snuggling. Downsides: He has a short bite history from 2018. No incidents since then. Needs: Someone who is WFH or is able to be home with him occasionally during the day. Reason for rehoming: Ever since I've owned Hart, I've been able to work from home / hybrid, or had a roommate. In the past year, I've transitioned to living alone plus having an office job that keeps me away from home for long periods of time. When I'm gone for the day, I'm not able to give Hart the care he needs. Deciding to rehome him has been one of the hardest decisions of my life, but I know it's the best choice for both of us.

Story
Mercedes is a darling 2 year old, 6.5 lb. Terrier mix who was a stray in CA and is now with our foster in Springfield. This little girl is a wonderful little dog who will be your best friend if you allow her to adjust to her new surroundings and people with a bit of patience. She gets along with other dogs and has been around children over 8 years of age. Mercedes fee includes her being spayed and microchipped at Homeward Bound Spay/Neuter Clinic. A home with people who are home more often than not and who have a safe, fenced yard is what we want for this girl. If you are interested in adopting Mercedes, please respond with information about you/your family; what other pets you have; how Mercedes will fit into your life.
