Story
We adopted Lola 4 years ago, when she was approximately 1 year old. We were told she was a Doberman-Blue Heeler mix. She really can be a good dog, but she needs someone experienced with aggression - we are not. We definitely contributed to her issues unfortunately, as we were living in remote area where she was unexposed to other dogs and people for 3 years. When we moved back here last year, we did try to get her more socialized, but she continually acted aggressive towards new dogs. Even in our backyard, she barks at the neighbors dog and tries scratching through the fence. She has gotten to the point that I can't let her around strangers at all. She does not attack people, but she barks at them, jumps all over, and won't remain calm. I want to note, she has never been aggressive to our 5 year old daughter, and has never bitten anyone. That said, she has been increasingly prone to attacking other dogs, to include our other female dog, to the point of drawing blood.

Story
Pacho is a funny and loving mixed breed boy with a long body and short legs. He loves to play with other dogs and cuddling on the couch with humans. He is about 4 years old- possibly mixed with corgi or bassett. He is an escape artist and needs a very secure yard. He has lived with cats but will give chase to them at first. I am needing to rehome both Pacho and my other dog, Kirra, with whom he has bonded. Kirra is pictured. She is a 6 year old blue heeler who looks just like Bluey. She is also good with other dogs and kids. Like Pacho, she has lived with cats but will give chase to them at first. It hurts my heart to rehome these two, but they need time and attention than I can give them at this moment in life.

Story
Odi was abandoned at just three months old, left in a dumpster with his kennel. We took him in, and our journey with him has been long, challenging, and filled with countless beautiful memories. Odi is highly energetic, playful, and full of love—especially when it comes to his toys and the people around him. From day one, Odi has struggled with food and water aggression, but he has made tremendous progress over time. He no longer growls or snaps when someone is near him while he eats or drinks. However, he still tends to push himself between our other dog when he’s drinking water, preventing him from getting any. Unfortunately, Odi’s behavior toward our other dog has recently escalated. On two occasions, he has become aggressive and drawn blood. While neither incident required emergency veterinary care, they were serious enough to leave visible marks. Our biggest concern is what could happen next. This decision breaks our hearts, because Odi is incredibly kind and gentle with people.

Story
I adopted Apsen from the San Antonio shelter years ago. She is a great dog but the only thing is that she can be food aggressive so she can't have other animals be around when she eats or she may fight with them. Other then that she is a great dog to have around. She is very friendly and loving as I said without food around 😃.

Story
She was found roaming the neighborhoods by herself so we took her in and fed her. Unfortunately she is an extra dog that we can't maintain. She seems better possibly in a solitude home as a single dog. She is house trained and kennel trained. She doesn't bark all night. She does not dig. She gets along with other dogs but she seems to still need additional behavior training as well. She doesn't really like other female dogs to much. She can play but can't be left alone with them for to long. Hence needing more behavioral training (manners) but over all she is a great dog for apartments or even smaller homes. Shes playful and sweet and very submissive with people. Might need some confidence building work. But she really is a sweet heart.

Story
On my drive home around 10pm, I found these three puppies (two males and one female) on the highway and something heartbreakingly common in the south. They were terrified, freezing cold, starving, covered in fleas, filthy, and already carrying worms in their little bellies. I brought them home, gave them warmth, food, and love, and treated them for parasites and fleas. They are safe now and finally getting a chance at the life they deserve. All Caramelo needs next is his first vet visit to start vaccines and preventatives. They have already been through so much and fortunately the other two have found their forever homes. Now Caramelo just needs a loving home too, to show him that people can be kind. 🐾
