Story
This is Koda. He's a complete sweetheart who loves all people and dogs, and has been good around kids at parties/get togethers, though he's never lived with one long term. He's never been around cats but my assumption is that he would annoy them (he's very excitable). No special needs, though he has a mild chicken allergy (never been an issue, we just give him non chicken food). He's 55Ib and neutered, up to date on his vaccines and such — he's 9 years old now, but looks and acts a lot younger. He gets the zoomies often, loves to play and run, but also loves to sleep all the time. He's very adaptable and is happy to nap on the couch and go out 2-3 times a day for walks or just hang out in a yard, go on hikes, whatever you want to do with him he's just excited to be with you :) He's very food motivated and therefore fairly easy to train, extremely well house trained, and crate trained. He doesn't really bark; I've only heard his bark a few times in eight years.

Story
This is my Bentley boy, he is a German shepherd/husky/blue healer mix. He is a puppy from my two other dogs so I actually helped birth him. We recently had a baby and he is not coping well with the new addition. He does well with older children (we also have a 4 year old). We are looking for someone who has the time to walk/take him on adventures. I do believe his rabies shot is up to date but nothing else. He would do well with someone with lots of land and another dog to keep him company. He loves to cuddle and play ball. He is shy when it comes to new things so be gracious and give him an adjustment period, he has never bitten anyone. If you have any questions please reach out to me! He really is the sweetest boy!

Mutt American Pit Bull Terrier

Female, Young
Yelm, WA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
This dog is extremely high energy, highly driven, and intensely bonded to her primary person. She has had severe separation anxiety since early on and does not currently tolerate being away from her handler, even briefly, without distress. She requires extensive daily exercise to reach baseline calm, often up to ~20 miles of running per day (not walking). Moderate exercise is not sufficient. When her physical needs are met, she can settle for the day, but this level of activity must be consistent. She becomes highly aroused during transitions and anticipation (e.g., arriving at parks or trailheads), vocalizing and struggling to wait calmly. This is arousal and impulse overflow, not disobedience. She is intelligent, competitive, and assertive, with a strong working-dog temperament. She is not suitable for apartment, mobile, or regularly-alone living. She needs an experienced handler, ideally a runner, trainer, or working-dog home with a stable environment and near-constant presence.

Story
Russell is a great dog. Very very social, friendly, playful and a love bug. My life has changed and I just can't keep him any more :(. He will be happier with a nice family ... loves walks at the off leash park, loves people and dogs alike. He's known as "happy dog" because he looks like he's always smiling and energetic. He love peanut butter in the morning (or anytime) ... and is always insistently asking people for a belly rub. He never hurt anyone or any other animal ... he's a true sweetie. It's hard to let him go, but it'll be better for him.

Story
Xiao Bai is a dog adopted from China and is about 5 years old. He was abused as a puppy and has a scar around his neck from a permanent chain. He was taken to the US in 2023 and has lived with us for about two years. He has a very chill personality once comfortable in his environment. He will play well with other dogs occasionally but generally prefers to be a couch potato. He is a very sweet boy, but has some leash/barrier reactivity to other dogs. He is also not good with toddlers, growling out of fear. He has not bitten anyone. An ideal home for him would be a large open space with at least one other dog (less than 50lbs) and no kids. He has had a hard life and deserves a good place to rest. Dog bowls, harness, crate, collar, and chew toys can come with him if desired.
