Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Freddie! Freddie is a 1-year-old, 13 lb Chiweenie looking for a special home where he can be the center of someone’s world. This handsome little guy is incredibly smart, affectionate, and full of personality. Once he trusts you, he’ll become your most loyal companion and happiest little shadow. Freddie is house-trained, crate-trained, and has wonderful manners in the home. In fact, every evening he’ll happily tuck himself into his crate when it’s time for bed! He’s a quick learner and is very food motivated, already knowing commands like sit, stay, come, shake, and paw, with more training already underway. He loves having a job to do and will thrive with adopters who enjoy continuing his training. When he’s not learning new tricks, Freddie loves snuggling under blankets, playing fetch with his favorite squeaky toys, chewing on antlers, and heading out for long walks or hikes. He’s always happy to tag along on adventures with his people and would love a family that includes him in their daily activities. While he may need a little encouragement getting into the car, once he’s in, he’s ready to enjoy the ride. Freddie is looking for an adult-only home with no cats or young children. While he can coexist with other dogs after slow, careful introductions, he has shown that he prefers being the only dog in the home where he doesn’t have to share his people. He can be territorial of his home and family, so he’ll need patient adopters who understand that he likes to take his time getting to know new people and visitors. Freddie is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Bonnie is an absolute sweetheart of an 18 lb, Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) – and she’s at that perfect age (5) where she won’t chew your shoes, but she also loves to go for walks. And did we mention she’s perfectly housetrained? Bonnie was surrendered to a shelter in California, and it’s obvious that she was very loved. She’s incredibly well-adjusted, chill, and happy. She's on the mend from cherry eye removal surgery and is doing great. Bonnie really loves going for walks! When she knows she’s going for a walk, she does the funniest little spins thanks to her long dachshund body. She's not typically a barker, but when she does speak up, it's to let you know someone's at the door — and her bark is surprisingly deep for such a little body, so consider her a built-in (adorable) alarm system. Bonnie's super motivated by food, but she LOVES a good game of tug-of-war or fetch. She’s fast too! She's deeply bonded to her people and doesn't love being left alone. She loves sleeping in bed with her people (if you want your dog to sleep in a crate at night, Bonnie would not be a good match for you). She would do best with family members who are home often, ideally in a standalone house. She gets along beautifully with her two small breed foster brothers, but having another canine sibling isn’t a requirement as long as she gets regular chances to socialize. Car rides are still a work in progress as she gets anxious but settles down beautifully if she can sit with a human passenger in the car. Her foster family takes her on lots of little car trips to learn that good things happen when she goes for a ride, and she will settle down on her own after a bit. She'll occasionally surprise you by popping up out of nowhere, running to you and launching herself into your lap but most of the time she just loves chilling with you, enjoying her squeaky toys, and soaking up your company. She's a calm, loving, easy dog who just wants her people close. To play tug-of-war, of course. Bonnie is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Georgie! Georgie is a 4-year-old, 11 lb Chiweenie with a big personality packed into a little body. He may take a few days to decide you're his person—but once he does, you're really his person. Georgie is incredibly affectionate and devoted. He loves curling up next to his person on the couch for a nap, climbing into a lap for cuddles, and keeping an eye on whatever you're doing. He'll happily settle beside you while you relax or work, but he's also an active, curious little guy who loves going out for walks and playtime. He is fully potty trained with a consistent routine. He's an easy walking companion who doesn't pull, although his Dachshund instincts kick in when he spots a bird, squirrel, or rabbit. He's comfortable with stairs and will occasionally ask to be picked up when he's had enough walking. Georgie also loves to play! Fetch is a favorite, especially with squeaky balls, and he'll happily play for 15–30 minutes. He's food and treat motivated, enjoys appropriate chews, and has no food guarding or handling issues. He does have a mischievous side. Georgie is smart, curious, and very good at finding his own entertainment when he's bored—including occasionally stealing tempting things like water bottles. Regular walks, playtime, appropriate chews, and a reasonably dog-proofed home will help keep his talents directed toward better projects. Georgie is crate trained and enters his crate willingly most of the time. He sleeps quietly in his crate for about nine hours overnight. He can become restless when crated for longer periods during the day, so he'd be happiest in a home where he gets plenty of interaction and activity. With new people, Georgie is cautious rather than immediately outgoing. He may back away or stay close to the person he trusts while he figures someone out, but once comfortable, he's an exceptionally loving little companion. He's also sensitive to sudden loud noises but otherwise enjoys keeping tabs on the world, especially from a good neighborhood-watching window. He can be nervous in the car but loves joining his person once he reaches his destination. He is continuing to build confidence outside the home. Georgie would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a small dog who is equal parts cuddly companion and curious little adventurer. Give him some time to trust you, a predictable routine, daily activity, and plenty of affection, and you'll get an extraordinarily devoted little sidekick. Georgie is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

🐾💚Meet Pawcasso💚🐾 A Gentle Artist of Quiet Moments Seeks a Patient Heart Hello there. My name is Pawcasso, and I am a two-year-old, 19-pound Chihuahua mix. I am already neutered and fully up-to-date on all of my vaccines. While some dogs are loud, fast, and front-and-center, I am more of a quiet masterpiece. I am a sensitive, timid boy who takes his time getting to know the world, and I am looking for a peaceful home where I can truly bloom. My Daily Routine: The Efficiency ExpertIf you are looking for a dog who doesn't need miles of hiking or hours of backyard fetch, I am your guy! I have my outdoor routine down to a science:The Direct Route: I go outside to do my potty business, and then I come straight back inside. No lingering, no wandering—just pure efficiency! Indoor Comforts: I much prefer the safety, warmth, and predictability of being indoors with my trusted humans. My Favorite Things: Observing & Snacks. Because the big wide world can feel a little overwhelming to me, I have developed two major hobbies:People Watching: I am a professional observer. I love to find a cozy, safe spot—like a soft dog bed, a corner of the couch, or a sunny patch on the floor—and quietly watch everything happening around me. I take comfort in just being near you while you read, work, or watch TV. Yummy Treats: The fastest way to my heart is definitely through my stomach! While I might be too shy to approach you right away, tasty treats make me feel brave. Delivering a few snacks to my safe spot is the perfect way to build a beautiful friendship with me. My Ideal Forever Home. I am looking for a calm, quiet household with a patient adopter who understands that good things take time. A loud, busy home with lots of commotion might be too scary for me. I need a human who will let me move at my own pace, celebrate my small victories, and give me a safe space to retreat to when I feel overwhelmed. Once I know I am safe, my quiet devotion will be all yours. If you have a peaceful home and a gentle heart ready for a masterpiece like me, please reach out to my foster family today! Story
🐾💚Meet Mr. A (Atticus)💚🐾 A Brave Traveler Seeking a Safe Harbor (Foster or Forever Home Needed!) My name is Mr. A (also known as Atticus), and I am a one-year-old, 18-pound Chihuahua mix. I am already neutered, fully up-to-date on all my vaccines, and looking for a hero. My life started out in a scary, high-kill shelter, but I caught a lucky break and traveled all the way to WA to find my fresh start. Right now, I need a patient foster home or a loving forever family to help me write my next chapter. My Personality: The Quiet ObserverBecause I have been through so many big changes in my short life, the world can feel a bit overwhelming to me right now. I am a very shy guy, but I have a beautiful soul that just needs the right environment to shine: The Safe Space Enthusiast: When I first arrive in a new place, I need a quiet, cozy "safe space" where I can just sit, unpack my emotional baggage, and comfortably observe my surroundings. Worth the Wait: It takes me a little bit of time to feel safe enough for hands-on affection. But once I realize your hands only bring kindness, those hard-earned cuddles are absolutely magical and completely understandable given my past. Dog Watcher: I absolutely love to watch other dogs! Seeing other canines navigate the home safely helps me realize that I am out of danger. Having a confident dog sibling around to show me the ropes would be a huge bonus for me. Why Fostering or Adopting Me is So Rewarding. There is nothing quite like the feeling of winning the trust of a shy rescue dog. Every small milestone—the first time I step out of my safe space, the first tail wag, and that highly anticipated first cuddle—will feel like winning the lottery. You will literally be watching a life transform right before your eyes. My Ideal HomeI am looking for a calm, low-key home environment without too much hustle and bustle. A patient foster or adopter who understands that "good things take time" is exactly what I need. If you have a quiet corner for my bed, a heart full of patience, and maybe a friendly resident dog I can watch and learn from, I would love to meet you.I crossed state lines to find safety—now I just need a couch to call my own. Can you offer me a foster spot or a forever home? Adoption Process Application Submission – Start by completing our adoption application on our website.
